The food has been good, They are friendly. And have a have a decent little salad bar. My only complaint was last time we were there, one of the staff had a runny nose and was serving. It may have been allergies so I didn't assume she was sick. But was gross.
Host was very kind food was horrible try to put butter on a pancake and it fell into pieces. They offered me a piece of pie for it.
Nice waitress went extra mile to take care of us. Good vibes.

We arrived last night and had dinner here. It was so good we went back tonight again. Huge menu selection and the servings are really large! Everyone was so nice and pleasant. We will be eating there alot while we are in town. Can't wait to try the blackberry cobbler because they were out. My new favorite place. Not to mention the great view of Mt Shasta!
GREAT surprise! As a foodie I regretted only being able to eat one meal (well, half). Nestled in a classic looking motel, pot roast better than grandmas. Throw in a couple of nice wines and homemade cobbler, and I’m already planning my next trip so I can pass thru Weed and eat at this little cafe again. Plenty of room to park my truck and horse trailer across the street. If you have a choice, choose Hi-Lo Cafe! You will be very glad you did.
We were walking by and saw the restaurant there, didn't see any signage when driving by, but we're sure glad we stopped... the burgers and fries are some of the best and the salad bar was awesome, too! Not to mention the service! Our waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful. It made for a splendid atmosphere!
The garlic fries are good.. but the pancakes are dry and flavorless… the vanilla milkshake and service is good though 😅
Really nice place! Very friendly staff. Portions are huge :) You will not need a dessert 😁
Very unprofessional, I waited 40mins until they opened at 7am only to find out they don’t open until 8am. Employees chit chatting inside while doors are closed.

I have fond memories of this place for growing up, but it seems to have gone the way of its big brother "Black Bear." The server, this time, took very good care of my son and ensured he had everything he needed. At 1, he's not a difficult child, but he sure noticed the extra care. The food was average and was filling.
An absolute must when in Weed or passing thru on I-5. Food was delicious, the waitress was fun and personable and answered all my tourist questions with a smile. Weed has thee nicest locals too.
Honestly, we felt like we were the most important people there. Super attentive staff. They were doing great and they were down a cook that day. Still, stellar service and the cook kept up with all the orders.
Wonderful homemade food! Always busy but always consistent! Still amazing after a year!!
Saturday is BUSY at the HI LO... SO...go with an understanding of that! They are trying to feed alot of people. STAFF IS FRIENDLY and helpful. Food is top notch. Good job HI LO!
Best salad bar in town! The chicken Caesar sandwich is delicious! The waitress Kimberly R, is totally amazing! We will definitely be coming back.
The salad bar is the best in siskiyou county that I have tried, the waitresses are friendly and seem to love their job and all the food was great! I will be back.... LOTS.
I've dine here many times over the years & the service & food is top notch.
Have stopped by there frequently on our trips up and down I5. Always enjoyed our breakfasts there. Prices have really increased; new menu.
