My family loves wholesome family owned restaurants, this one did NOT let us down! They were very pleasant, great service and food was delicious. We are actually very picky with our food, we like flavor, this place impressed us. Great experience. Hot chocolates were great for the kiddos as well

Staff was super nice! But the food was pretty bland and underwhelming. Hash browns were very undercooked.

Breakfast (waffle, bacon, and an egg) was mediocre and not at all worth the price. Quality on par with a chain such as Denny's.

Worst lunch EVER! Ordered the Red Hut salad because they describe it as Amazing, will be made with whatever is in season, BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! They gave me brown, slimy lettuce from a bag, brown rotten avacados, dices up some tomatoes, diced ham from a bag, slided turkey that they tore by hand, and served this to me. HERE IS THE GOOD PART - I sent it back and said I didn't want it. So the server took it back to the cook. Remember, this place is small so you can hear everything. The cook asked what was wrong with it after getting it back. I had my back to them, but my wife watched a couple of the cooks picked through it. They then had enough nerve to send this mess back to me and charge me for it. NEVER EAT HERE! I would give them neg or 0 stars, but I can't because I can't post it this way. By the way, I heard another couple complaining about their meal while we were there.

This place used to serve good food... Don't know what happened? Ordered Chicken Fried Steak. It was eatable but the gravy lacked flavor, the hash browns were barely cooked and the over medium eggs I order were runny! Yuck!!! The toast was Good though! Lol

Very delicious food, We had chicken burger, avacodo cheese tomato toast, avacodo omlette, cheese grilled toast, finger chips coffee with free refill... Ambiance is good. Courteous pez, helped in wastage of food, Washroom with hot water, no beer and spirit. Free restaurant Parking, on the main road, warm environment inside, cozy place... Opens 6 am. One must try

Great food. Tried corn waffle for first time. Delicious and must try the jalapeno 🥓 bacon. Oscar the chef is great.

The best in Tahoe. Original location on 50. Great food, great atmosphere, great coffee & hot chocolate. What more can you ask for? Well, lower costs. Their prices have soared and that puts a damper on what you get.

Pretty disappointed to say the least. "Waffle House" haha just bad. French toast, soggy. Chicken tenders were frozen out of a bag.

Absolutely lovely little place with the friendliest staff. Very chatty and pleasant people to be around. Food is what you’d expect from a classic American diner

I will drive past 2 Red Huts to eat at this one! Just seems to have more charm! Staff is always fun, great greasy spoon food. Very accommodating to specific dietary requests as well. Our favorite breakfast spot!
