Always go here whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Consistently great coffee. Sometimes service is slow but generally nice people to talk to whole you're waiting.

Nicely organized. Thank you for graciously letting me know that I was in the wrong spot and that there was a line going the other way, 😆 Great place for old friends to meet up. Must be because it's been there so long. While I was meeting an old friend from high school, the couple of ladies next to us we're also meeting up after 45 years. Wow!

The music is not blaring as it is the case at most Starbucks, the coffee is brewed fresh every 30 minutes, smaller place but enjoyable.

Like all Peet's Coffee shops great tasting coffee and a clean comfortable environment. This shop conveniently located across the street from Montecito Shopping Plaza , a few steps from Asian Market and Whole Foods Market . Hot chocolate with whip cream a favorite in winter.

I’m a loyal Peet’s fan for life and it’s taken me 6 out of 7 visits to this location to write this review. The culture here is atrocious. Terrible training or leadership is highly evident at this location. As you can see from many reviews posted under this location they are meant for other Peet’s, of which I couldn’t agree more. It’s hard to find a Peet’s with poor service and culture. But this location isn’t a 4 star, it really isn’t a 2 star in terms of places to enjoy what most would consider what you expect out of a craft coffee house of any kind let alone Peet’s. I wait here for 10+ minutes each time I order a drink AFTER I wait through the line and always witness sheer chaos in every direction. This morning, one of the baristas (with a coffee shop full of people) actually shouted aggressively at a lady who was grabbing for one of her drinks that apparently was “not her drink yet” because it didn’t have the other drinks in her order placed into the carrier.. Peet’s, you really need to do better with this location. It’s a terrible representation of your brand.

I still love Peet's, but the quality of drip coffee at this location has gone downhill since they hired a new manager awhile ago (1-3 years ago). The dark roast is rarely strong like at other locations, and they almost never offer the staples that I love (House Blend, Major Dickenson's, French is ok). The food selection is usually less reliable than other locations, as well. The other day I ventured to try a new flavor of dark roast (Sumatra is at least worth drinking, unlike the chocolate roasts which are almost always brewing at this location), and the creamer was out. I calmly placed the empty container on the counter and waited for it to be filled. No reaction from them, which was odd but I didn't react to the inaction. The milk ran out shortly thereafter and a man brought it to the counter in the same manner. This time they acknowledged the empty containers. Not a big deal, except that one of the baristas called me a Karen. I didn't even say or do anything, and that comment would have been inappropriate even if I had. Maybe because I was the only one wearing a mask in the room? Anyway, thank goodness for the other Peet's locations, it's just too bad that this one is closest to me. A few of the wonderful workers who have been there for the past 10 years (when it used to be amazing) have stuck around. I can only imagine how hard it is to work for the current manager.

The best coffee in the world. Here served with Berkeley savoir faire. Great outdoor seating. The first time I tried something called Cuban Cappuccino. Not sure on how authentic it is but it sure was good.

I'm not usually a big fan of Peets but the service was good and the caramel apple latte was pretty solid. Not too busy late Sunday morning and didnt have to wait long.

This place is great. A lot of people like this place. Their service is quick and they recognize regulars that go in there. Their drinks are excellent as I always order a special order and they know what I want when I go in.

I've been visiting this Peet's every morning for 2 weeks in San Rafael while house/dogsitting for a friend. They are quick and efficient. Excellent customer service!

Horrible bitter coffee (cafe latte and a cappucino). Undrinkable and not cheap. Very slow, disorganized service although only me and 1 other customer. But the cashier and barista were very polite and well meaning.

Clean, friendly, helpful service. A bit of chaos during busy time due to surrounding infrastructure repair and building repairs but worth the treats.

Horrible workflow that falls apart when you just want drip and they need to brew a new batch.

5 stars for the drip coffee that’s consistently strong and has a bold flavor. The staff is really friendly as well and it’s conveniently located just minutes off the 101
