Good coffee. Friendly staff, on a more expensive side. An almost croissant was almost $6. Some parking on the street. Free wifi and plenty of seats. Some with plugs.
This place is all about its pastry. Who doesn't like pastry?
Holsem offers creative original lattes at a reasonable price point. The seating area is large enough to accommodate most people even on busy weekends, and the craziest part: almost every table has access to a power outlet. Ambient music included some fun early 2000s and 2010s pop and hip-hop remixes which added to the enjoyment. Who doesn't like drinking coffee while listening to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air intro?
Nice place, good latte. Original flavors.
Best mocha I've had in San Diego! Recommend their spiced chai latte if you like those. It was busy on Easter Sunday, but during the week there is usually no longer than a 2 minute wait in line. Fanominal batista and guests were courteous of each other. There's a parking garage behind the building for quick parking ($1). Indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly. Wheelchair and stroller friendly too!
Their coffee options are really good, that makes the price reasonable.
Minimal, modern aesthetic: delicious rose vanilla latte (get it hot!)
Coffee was mid. Cappuccino had no flavor and was burnt. Music was blaring and god awful. Not coming back to this place. Much better coffee shops in SD
Cozy and cute cafe with all the standard basic items. It was just very pricey!
Nice space, plenty of seating, good wifi for working. Coffee presents as upscale but is just fine, nothing to get worked up about.
Cozy place with 80Mbps WiFi and street parking. There are power outlets at every table so you don't have to worry about where you sit. The servers are friendly and the drink menu is decent. I ordered the Cinnamon Swirl Mocha and it was pretty good, and the drink came in this pretty fancy cup which was pretty cool.
L'orange cappuccino was out of the world amazing. It sure had the hint of orange flavor-subtle and not over powerful, just enough to give it a kick. Pastries were all fresh. Service was fast. Wonderful friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Absolutely love. The Rose Dusted vanilla latte is AMAZING. The açaí bowl was one of the best, it’s smooth and creamy. They melt their peanut butter on top which is a game changer opposed to a cold thick dollop like most. Avocado toast & peanut banana toast were also great.
Drinks are fancy but justifiably expensive because they do actually taste GOOD and are well balanced, well thought out drinks. Setting is great although it doesn't ever seem to be NOT crowded. So if you're looking for privacy, this is not the place to go. I am a fan though. They've consistently delivered good coffee to me, every visit. Must be why I'm always coming back.
The coffee here is so good. I love to order the cinnamon swirl mocha latte. My fave! Breakfast is great if you're on the run or if you want to stay awhile. The acai bowl and avocado toast are delicious!
Loved breakfast there as well as their coffee creations. I would def go back again ❤️
Cool place to hang out and work, good coffee, delicious bagels 🥯 cream cheese and chives yum!
Coffee was drinkable, almond croissant was nice but not baked on site (nothing wrong with that, but this is very common in my childhood town). Served in ceramic cup, good. Indoor seating available, but no sofas. Overall fine, but still looking for 5* coffee experience in this town. Overall? Meh
I’ve come here many times over the past few years, and will be back many more. holsem has magnificent well roasted coffee, delicious espresso, and the most gourmet flavor combos in their lattes/cappuccinos. My go to is the single origin (!!!) cold brew, of which there are usually multiple varieties, perfectly extracted every time. The latte art is always impressive, the breakfast food and pastries are always magnificent. They are the best coffee-makers in San Diego.
One of my favorite local spots. Really delicious coffee.
