Terribly slow service. I mean you are a coffee shop- just take the order and move on. Guy at register spends over 5 min to take each order.

Not gonna lie, I knew the moment I walked in I wouldn’t be satisfied but I continued to get my iced coffee. Little did I know I would be getting coffee with my ice. NEVER in my life have I had so much ice in my coffee. I’m concerned it will be a shortage of ice due to this shop, But the 2 sips I had one word delicious.

Mmm something ain't right lol for $7 nahhh. Why all the ice and no drank... I don't play about my coffee and I got a whole 3 sips before it was gone so this was disappointing AF

We saw great reviews of this place and decided to give it a shot. We got two drinks, Vanilla Latte was hardly worth the 4 stars, however, the Salted Maple Latte could be a 5 stars. Collectively 4 stars. I need to give this place one more try.

Over the past 7 days, we have visited 9 different cafes, coffee shops, and roasters. We've been on a self guided espresso tour throughout a road trip across LA and San Diego. Dark Horse has to be in our top 3 from what we tried. Top tier espresso and a chill staff. This location seems to get a bit busy and congested, though. The parking isn't great either, so it's not taking the top spot.

Excellent coffee, comfy location with a great vibe. Right next door to a little ice cream shop and other businesses. Outside and inside seating. Dog friendly. Good luck parking! You'll need it.

I got an Americano and it was very well made. It was so good that when I accidentally left it in the car all day long, put it in the fridge over night and drank it in the morning, it was absolutely delicious!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this coffee shop. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the turmeric tea and a sandwich. The tea was delicious and they gave me free honey to make it taste to my liking :) I wasn’t as crazy about the breakfast sandwich I ordered but I can be pretty picky when it comes to my food lol. I’d still recommend and come back for more!:)

Great coffee!! Had a breakfast sandwich that I thought would be premade but wasn't. I was very delighted with the food and coffee.

Cortado was good. Good pastry on the weekend, even though it was vegan. Cinnamon roll was so good I ate it before I could take a photo.

On a whim, I decided I wanted to try out Dark Horse, as I had passed by it many times. Can I just say the atmosphere, the staff, the coffee, the prices, the bagels, everything, I LOVE. My boyfriend and I now go every Friday on a date for coffee and bagels at our favorite coffee shop. I must say as well, my boyfriend hates coffee (typically), until we started going to Dark Horse, so there's that. Also, staff at both dark horse locations are always so friendly, helpful, and honestly make me laugh for the day which I appreciate. Dark Horse - thank you for existing, you make my Fridays.

They have bagels now, not just vegan doughnuts! Coffee is excellent. Parking is impossible!

Good luck visiting. They pick and chose when they are going to be open - maybe phone ahead to be on the safe side because there are no other decent coffee shops in the area. V. Disappointing. UPDATE: They said they closed early because an employee had been hurt, however, they closed early yesterday and also last week. Basically, if you’re going to go, phone ahead just in case somebody has “hurt” themselves or whatever.

First time here. It was a cute spot with outdoor seating perfect to sip on my Americano and enjoy their delicious orange scone.
