The worst macchiato that I’ve ever had. Coffee has no aroma, macchiato had way more milk that it should have. Horrible horrible coffee. Has a good space for work though, second floor is very spacious!
A bit pricey, but to be expected for downtown MV. Honey lavender latte is one of my all-time favorite drinks, I highly recommend it if you enjoy sweeter coffee. Drip coffee is also fantastic, and you can order any of their available syrups as an add-on, so I usually get drip coffee with cream and honey lavender syrup. Great spot for dates, to hang out, or just grab a coffee!
Coffee is good. Lots of sitting area with wifi. Parking was a little bit far.
Literally a cornerstone coffee shop on Castro Street, Mountain View, this is the go-to coffee shop of mountain view, IMO. It always has an energetic vibe here and the baristas are dynamic and friendly. It is right near the farmer's market so it's a great place to go to before or after, or even bring one of the delicious pastries from the farmer market and enjoy with a coffee here. However, there is no lack of selection as far as accompaniments to your coffee here. The almonds croissant is quite distinctive and a specialty of theirs, as is there coffee cakes - I having a predilection for their blueberry coffee cake. They have plenty of seating both inside and out, though I have a preference to set one of their side tables alongside their classic granite building wall outside. On weekends though it can get pretty busy, so be prepared to stake out your table 😃 If you are in Mountain view looking for a coffee, you can't go wrong with this place.
My Americano was pretty good. Sometimes roast that coffee shops are hit and miss, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very community oriented with organized gatherings. Additionally, the white board adversities what to expect throughout the coming month with regards to coffee and events. Staff was delightful and nice. Well done!
I love this coffee shop. Good coffee and atmosphere.
This coffee shop is full of activity! Crammed into two floors on a popular Mountain View corner, there’s a steady stream of people in and out. The coffee was great (could hardly tell it was soy instead of whole milk), and their croissants are excellent (from The Midwife and the Baker). Minus one star, because it was too full to be comfortable for a meeting - it made me nervous about covid risk. Tables are literally elbow to elbow to fit people in, and there was a homeless man going from table to table asking for money. The decor felt kind of beat up and dated, and their to go cups were small and flimsy. So, for a grab and go cup, it’s great - for a leisurely meeting, keep looking.
I got a chai latte to go and it was pretty good! Could have been hotter, but it’s been cold out so that probably affected it…
This has been my go-to coffee shop for the past 10 years so figured it's about time I leave a review. Their drinks are decent but where it shines is its cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and community events (open mic nights, board game nights, etc). Back then, it was open until 10pm but they've since reduced their hours to 5:30pm closing after pandemic. There are lots of parking lots behind and around the area but can be tough during peak times. Only downside is that it can get extremely crowded. On a Sunday around 11am, there were no seats open and other people came up behind me searching for seats as well so I ended up going somewhere else - nothing against Red Rock, just that it is very popular. I hadn't been in a while so I had never seen it this packed but not surprised as it's a great place to work with lots of outlets, windows, tables, and wifi. Overall a fantastic place to GSD in a comfortable environment with super friendly service :)
The coffee and pastry is good but if you want to try your luck on Mondays for Open mic, good luck if you don’t know the owner! They say that they have a registration from 5:30-7:30 for the acts and they choose from the registration pool randomly. However, I have been there three times so far and what I witnessed is that the acts are pretty much the same people and are the ones that somehow know the lady who draws the names. So, again. If you want to have coffee and pastry, by all means, go! If you want to do open mic and you don’t know the owner, try your luck somewhere else.
Good place to work or study and they have best cafe latte
Great place to get work done, nice staff, but they consistently miss orders. I have seen on multiple occasions people order drinks, then wait 5-10 minutes and only when they go up and tell them again what they ordered do that make the drink. Has happened to me on several occasions.
I like their Expresso. They use a non bitter roast that is full of flavor.
Fun spot, good coffee and a lively ambiance.
Over the years they might get some new staff/ so the customer service can be fine at times & terrible other times. There is a bad work culture about this place. I agree with Juliet's review below, Snarky is a good description. Mediocre/ over priced seems to be a theme in Mountain view which is why I drive to SF... This place would never survive in the city of SF with any competition. They don't deserve to keep such a prime real-estate on Castro street. I live 2 blocks away and I refuse to come in here. I'll head to Paris baguette before this place. They don't even have respect for the customers paying on a regular basis for $8-10 coffees. Why so disrespectful?
We're huge fans of the open mic every Monday. Thanks for hosting this and for providing a great environment for it!
One of the best hot chocolate I had. Raspberry coffee cake was ok. Next time will stick to tried and tested coffee cake.
Nice spot to get coffee and tons of tables upstairs to get some work done
Coffee was alright. So the ham and cheese croissant. But red paint on the walls is definitely not the best idea unless you want to scare away customers. Overall solid 4 stars
Great place to get work done - reliable wifi, lots of seating and welcoming. Chai was mediocre, but the coffee seems good.
