Culture Coffee Bar

Very nice coffee bar, loved the plants and items for purchase. Unfortunately customer service was poor in my opinion. I told them I was a first time customer with a gift card and the staff was not friendly or very helpful, I don't think I'll return. Hopefully it was an isolated incident. This place was not a good fit for me but glad I tried it. *I edited my original review and added stars due to the considerate reply to my review which I appreciated. I will definitely consider returning if the opportunity arises for me.

The environment of the place makes me uncomfortable. It is very unwelcoming and the workers are short with you. They got my order wrong when I asked for an iced coffee it came out hot somehow…. The drink tasted like bland oat milk. Starbucks puts more love and energy into their coffee drinks.

I’ve been to this coffee shop here and there since they’ve opened. Each time I visit there seems to be an overarching feeling of hostility. Whether it’s the employees, or the other patrons of the business, it just feels unwelcoming. I was greeted by the employees upon my first visit when the business had recently opened. But since then it seems like the morale of the business has gone down. The employees speak to you as if you are an inconvenience to them, and they typically take a long time to complete your order. Which to me wouldn’t be that big of a deal if the drinks that I ordered were made correctly, and if the drink wasn’t mediocre at best. So if you’re seeking out an artisan and local coffee experience, I would recommend the Queen Bean or Giacomo’s instead of this establishment.

The food is OK taste good. My coffee was a bit cold and I asked for extra hot coffee. But I’ll be back to try their latte. :)

This coffee shop is definitely the best in Modesto! The staff is really friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Coffee and pastries are amazing. It’s a great place to work, study, and hang out. Would definitely recommend Culture Coffee for anyone around the area !

Our favorite place to spend a Saturday morning with our little one. It is so fun to see the place full of families and friends enjoying a slow morning together. Everyone is so friendly! The coffee is always great, we love trying the seasonal drinks. We do a 1/2 sweet vanilla or as our little one says “chocky” milk for our daughter. I really appreciate that the drinks are created with quality ingredients instead of processed bottled syrups and such. If you’re looking for that uber fast coffee thrown together, this is not for you. This is a drink handcrafted for you and you can taste the difference, indulgent! They added various breakfast options which are fantastic! I could eat the avocado toast with pickled onion and arugula daily! My husband usually gets one of the locally made pastries or tea bread to share with our little one. We can’t recommend it enough!

Nice third wave coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. Didn’t try any of the snacks but they looked tasty.

Very up beat and clean shop. Music is a bit loud. Great place for high school/college students to hang and enjoy a cup of coffee/tea. Service is a little slow. So, make sure you are not in a rush when coming here.

This is a great spot to get some good coffee and work. They have great service and it's a really great atmosphere. Clean. It is a little small, so you may have trouble getting a spot, but they have a few different options to sit down.

Super cute coffee shop with good coffee and treats, lots of windows and plugs for charging while you work. Ample parking too!

Quality beans, Quality food, Always a great experience

I was really excited to try this place out again. I went once before and thought maybe I just caught them on a bad day. This next time was no different. I was stunned to see how kind and talkative the workers were with everyone else but when it came to me, they were monotone and rude. (Just like my prior experience) It was odd. Especially because in Modesto I haven’t experienced discrimination before. I ended up talking about it with a friend who told me she had the same experience there. Coffee was mid and expensive. 0 stars if I could.

Great little coffee shop tucked away in a shopping center. The co look s brew is excellent - smooth and not bitter at all. Service was fast and friendly. Great little spot.
