the coffee here is excellent! they have different unique award winning chais which are to die for. i personally had the white choc latte which was the perfect balance between coffee taste and sweet. my friend got the different chais which were so good. the chocolate chip chip cookies warmed up are also so good! while visiting we tried this place for coffee on the first day and didn’t want to try any other ones. when i’m back down here i’m coming again!!

Limited menus . Premaid food . Bitter and expensive coffee. New ownership . 👎

If you want to eat cold avocado toast in a plastic container, then this is your place.

Hands down the best scones outside of London. Orange cranberry was awesome. Staff was extremely friendly

The avocado toast was very underwhelming and too small for $11 (I don’t think the bread was even toasted) and the coffee wasn’t good. Thought I’d switch it up from Yes Please and regret it.

I moved to the La quinta cove right before COVID hit so I really had not explored the area. Monday 11/07/22 I ignored reviews and went to the Main Street Coffee Co. I placed my order for a latte which was good . The place was not busy for the greetings I received. The man who took my order was very stern and no emotion such as to say anything except--- What can I get for you ---- no good morning smile or even just eye contact . I asked about alternative milk for my latte --- he responded by looking straight passed me and list what they had I don't think he even took a breathe --okay I thought so I told him my order . When I stepped over to the register a young girl emerged from the side and told me my amount owned no smile or greeting even though I said good morning . I asked for a receipt and her plain face response was it was sent to your email I said how you don't know my email . Her response was your information is off of your card of payment as a couple ladies entered the store the young girl shifted her look to them and said what can I get for you.... I never received my receipt and it was not in my email. The coffee was average but the service was negative and uninviting I would not go back because of the staff not caring about your experience. I love to support local businesses when they are grateful for the business. No need to put this location on your visit list

New owner, actually the original owner, has taken over and replaced the look of Old Town coffee with a more contemporary style and much more space to sit. Still some comfortable chairs too. He has retained the giant muffins and apparently the original recipes so that part is safe. He has added some scrumptious chocolate chip coconut crunches which are to die for. Service was friendly and the owner too. It's still my favorite coffee shop in LA quinta.

We were there on a Sunday lunchtime and it was very quiet… but it was 112 degrees outside. The staff were very friendly and knew their coffees. There is plenty of room on the outside if you brace the heat, but in season, is a great place to sit. There are some tables and couches inside too.

On our 1 st visit (5-29-22) since the the change of ownership and reopen we found the following. The inside decor, and of course the location are very good. We couldn’t help observing that each member of the staff was in there own seemingly unhappy little world. In the hour that we spent on the outdoor patio area no staff member was caught smiling or speaking in a welcoming and sociable manner to any of the customers. This cool atmosphere of unhappiness was present inside at the order counter and outside as items were brought out to customers. This negativity starts at or near the top of any customer facing business. Are the employees treated badly badly by management or ownership, or were the wrong people hired? Probably some of both. We enjoy the old town plaza and the businesses that welcome customers with a smile and attentive service. Tough love for what could be a great place for a coffee shop

I get espresso over ice and a pump of lavender. So good! And the baked goods are fresh. Sorry to see so many bad reviews, wonder if it was the first few weeks under new management with a little shakey start but the last 5 times I’ve been there are exactly what I’m looking for in a coffee shop.

Missing La Quinta Coffee Co which used to be in this space. Went today and food menu wasn't nearly as good and almost twice the price.

From beginning to end this was a failure. Waited 30 mins to only find out they forgot our order. Once arrived the coffee and food were not worth waiting. Sorry, try another business next time.
