Ordered the vegetarian sandwich with a side salad for $15. Nice mix of sauteed vegetables. Would order that item again.

I met a friend here for dinner and am so glad she chose this place! I was too busy catching up to remember more than just the one picture of my half eaten dinner - but the atmosphere is nice, the service was good, and my dinner is my new favorite dish! I had the gnocchi with walnuts, fresh spinach, and a Gorgonzola sauce. YUM-O!! Rich and delicious! My friend had the salmon salad and said it was amazing! Will definitely go back and try more dishes!

A great local place. We visit downtown and eat here when visiting our family nearby in Penn Valley. The food is fresh and delicious. The cafe is located in the downtown area. Once you park it is an easy walk to the restaurant and among the shops which my wife and her sisters love to stroll by and check out.

Great Italian food while visiting Grass Valley. I really enjoyed the linguine with mussels and clams! Will go again!

I was disappointed in this restaurant. We came from out of town and had an early reservation. The hostess offered us a table directly in front of another couple. (Not side by side) We asked to be seated at another table in the restaurant as we were the only other guests at that time and only 1 table was being used. We were told no and that our option was the bar as all the other tables were reserved. We headed towards the door and only then did the hostess agree to seat us at another open table. It was very odd and uncomfortable and will be our last visit.

The tuna and egg sandwich is the worst sandwich I have ever had. The burger was dripping with blood and the fries burnt. It boggles me how this restaurant stays in business.

I really had high hopes for this place. Came in from out of town. I’ve been eating at another Italian restaurant closer to my hotel that I’ve eaten at twice and each time it was amazing and consistently great. The first thing that was odd was the music here is not Italian. It’s Spanish on every other song. I still like it but the Italian place down the street plays beautiful Italian music. Unfortunately due to being vegetarian my choices in food are limited. I had the spinach ravioli and sadly it was hard. It was most likely frozen but heated so hot it burned my mouth and still was not easy to cut or chew. Very firm almost old and stale. Flavor not great either. The garlic bread was hard. Very hard. Did not have any flavor either compared to the place down the street where it is warm soft and flavorful. The wine tasted stale as well. As if it had been opened for days. The wine at the other place absolutely some of the best wine I’ve ever had. I really wanted to like this place as it’s in such a cool location. But it just wasn’t for me. Customer service was great. The people that work here are so friendly. Food not so great. I won’t be back. 🥺

We enjoyed a dinner at Sergio's the other night. One of their specials that evening was rack of lamb. Man that was good, I mean really good. I'll be calling ahead next time to make sure they're serving that again. We went earlier than usual, but we're glad as it filled up pretty good by 6:30-7:00. They have a big selection on their menu and are right in the middle of Grass Valley. Check em out!

As usual, Sergio's didn't fail to impress. Came for lunch which I rarely do. Enjoyed every single moment of it. My food was delicious and the servers were top-notch.

This was a great experience. The food was amazing. They also have a great wine list. The portions are large and come out very fast - we didn’t get close to down with appetizers before our meals were brought. They do not have a full bar only wine and beer. The waitress was very nice! great desserts!

Lamb and wine paired with it perfectly- wonderful experience! Really love the setting also. Friendly customers and staff. In fact we sat down and noticed the lamb on the table next to us. I mentioned that it looked good to my companion. Next thing I know the person next to us put one on my plate. Ate that and had to order the full plate. He didn't wish to be repaid as he was full! Always a similar experience at Sergios either inside or out.

Wonderful atmosphere with a friendly staff. The specials were Swordfish & Lamb but their regular menu is also superb.

The smoked salmon salad balances tart capers, tomatoes, and vinaigrette dressing with potent smoked salmon and moderating sliced boiled eggs for a stimulating, filling entree. Our risotto piscatore was savory without obscuring the flavor of the various seafood within. With the crisp garlic bread and light, tender calemare, we had no room for dessert.
