Wonderful little Cafe with the loveliest lady behind the counter. Lots of options for tacos, burritos etc, a great variety of baked goods as well. Especially loved the iced tea options - pineapple and turmeric, mango and cinnamon, both were super refreshing and tasty (not sweet). The veggie tacos were very good. You would easily overlook this spot, tucked away in the back of a parking lot outside of the downtown area, but it is so worth a visit.

We have been a few times now over the last month and it's consistently delicious! Perfect portions, beautiful food, tastes very much homemade with love. Have had the carnitas super burrito (super splitable!), carne asada burrito bowl (pictured to-go, packed full of goodness), several kinds of baked goods, and several hot drinks - all fantastic! The flavors of the beans and the rice are incredible! Hot drinks are nice and hot with great flavor as well. Comfort in a cup. The coffee used there is very good! Open 6 days a week with appropriate hours available for all meals. Cozy older victorian-ish building with lots of natural light and potted cacti inside. Has a front and back dining area plus one outdoor table, but Ive had all my stuff to go so far - definitely will be dining in at some point!. Anyhow, amazing lady, amazing food and drink, and Im willing to bet you'd always be left happy and satisfied with your choices! Hope Cafe Rico is around for many years to come!

Try this place!! Best, freshest tacos ever. And today's meatball soup hit the spot on this rainy day. Estelle is the one-woman proprietor and makes it all. SUPER baked goods, quiche, and even Tres Leches cake. A hidden gem we all need to support to make sure it stays. Cute little house and there is also a back dining room that others may have missed.

Wow! After visiting Grass valley for almost a week, I ate here every day with a happy tummy! The super burrito was the most flavorful and we'll put together burrito I've ever had. The quesadilla had an assortment of amazing cheese, veggies, and definitely not your regular style of low grade meat... This beautiful hole in the wall cafe. Some of the best food I have ever had! Even the cappuccinos and espresso. There are so beautiful with the authentic coffee cups and proper espresso cups used. I appreciate this hard-working lady behind the counter with the big smile and the most cute demeanor! Thank you dear for making the best food I have had in years! Make sure you come and visit and support #smallbusiness #grassvalleyfood

Owner/chef is a typical Grandma. Very friendly! Prepares all of her own menu items and works all day 6 days a week. Location is next door to cigarette world. Used to be where Lefty's tacos is now. New landlord raised her rent from $1,200 per month to $7,000 forcing her relocation. Will definitely be going back many many times!

Cafe Rico and Estella are for sure a hidden gem. This place used to be another coffee spot, but they closed a few years ago. I did not even know Cafe Rico had opened up in this location until a friend told me a few months back. They have been consistent and delicious since I started going. I had seen signs for smoothies (which I am not a fan of) so I didn't bother to stop in, Then I heard about the food, breakfast and baked goods! Breakfast is delicious, lunch items are amazing and if you want a delicious taco, here is the spot. The fish tacos are awesome. This time I had the Salvadorian Chicken sandwhich (shown in pictures) and it did not disappoint. YUM!!!! OMG!! 💯 delicious Super fresh! Huge portions! (One sandwhich will easily feed two people) The outside of the building is a little funky, its in one of those old mini miner cottages type buildings along the golf course. But inside is as clean as a whistle. There is WiFi available, lots of small cafe tables inside and outside for eating and coffee with friends. If you can mamage to eat all your lunch, go for any baked goodie or desert, everything I tried is yummy!! Hit up this spot when you are hungry and want a big meal or want to share with a friend 👫

I've been here twice so far and both times have been pleasant. The lady who runs the show is nice, and the menu items are really good. I've had the Mocha (good), the Cookies (would personally recommend gingersnap but the chocolate is tied with it!), and the Salvadoran(?) chicken sandwich. Every item on the menu is totally worth its' price. My mom likes the zucchini bread, says it's really chunky.

Ordered these tacos for lunch. They were flavorful and perfect size. They also have great coffee options. It is a small house converted to cafe. About 5 small tables inside and a small chair outside.

The absolute best tacos in town if you want tasty fresh tacos. Love the fish tacos with grilled Mahi-mahi and fresh avocados and home salsa. Try a home pie or cake to top it off.
