7.25 for a cheap pastry??? Avoid for the pastry, coffee is ok.

Comfortable place. Try the Morning Glory Muffins, if you can get one...still home town eclectic comfort.

Great vibes, several tables and bars to work from or hang out at, tasty coffee and treats, and fast wifi.

I love this cafe bakery! It is always so inviting, warm, clean, and cozy. As a coffee enthusiast, I really appreciate this Grass Valley gem. The coffee is delicious and the baked goods are too. The sweet cream fruit danish is amazing! Thanks, Brew Bakers 💛

Cool vibe. Pretty and efficient server. Art on the wall. Creative decor. Had tea. It was very good Chinese breakfast tea.

Walked in early Saturday morning hoping to grab a coffee and a pastry. The server told me he would be with me in a minute, no big deal. So I take the seat closest to the counter and wait... A few minutes pass and a couple come in and walk up to the counter. The server immediately dropped whatever he was busy with and took their order. I stood up and said, "well I guess I'm not being served?" The server said I'm sorry about that with very little sincerity. I feel like maybe this place judged me on my appearance. I rode my harley this morning so I was dressed in jeans and leather.... Maybe I would have been treated better if I had been wearing something more Bohemian. To make along story short if you ride a harley or look like you do you might want to pass on this place. I ended up going a couple blocks over to Fable coffee where I was treated nice, the coffee was great and the blueberry muffin is delicious.

I hate to write this, but the last time I was there we bought 3 morning muffins that were completely spoiled, end up throwing them away. Thankfully they didn't have dairy or eggs, otherwise it could have easily turned into food poisoning.

My favorite coffee shop in Grass Valley / Nevada City. Always my first thought when I need to caffeinate. They skillfully brew delicious local Temple coffee and are happy to answer questions or help you decide what to order. Everything they serve is worthy of being on the menu. Try the fresh biscotti!

Delish bakes! Just tried the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was perfect (not a greasy mess). They’re extensive drink menu is a delight; my faves being cold brew chai and Mitsuyo Cap. Local temple coffee ❣️❣️ my fave GV coffee shop

My Mom bought a cup of coffee here last weekend during our trip to Grass Valley and said it was pretty good, not expensive and the service was friendly.

Since the Break Cafe closed, there are, in my opinion, no more good coffee or pastry shops in Grass Valley / Nevada City. Flour Garden is quickly declining, Fable is pretty okay but not my favorite, and City Council is just ridiculous. Brew Bakers could be the best in the area, but it is not. And there is one reason for that: it is Sunday morning and they are not open. They are also not open before or after I go to work. I have exactly one day when I could possibly go there, which is Saturday. I don't understand a coffee shop that sells delicious food that isn't open on Sundays. I don't understand a retail business with more limited hours THAN A BANK. Why? Why. You certainly charge enough money for coffee and food. Why don't you want people to be able to buy it.

The chorizo breakfast burritos are delicious and a very large part of the reason we come here. Try one they are very well worth it!
