I wasn’t pleased with their service and the lady who’s behind the counter. She didn’t have a smile only to certain people.. it’s kind of awkward and terrible service.
I love this place! we eat here almost on a weekly basis now, it’s that good. Both their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are tasty. I always get the Breakfast Brioche or the Chipotle Chicken melt. My wife is a big fan of the avocado toast. Their coffee is also really good too, can’t go wrong with the Hey Jude! I just wish they would make themselves available in UberEats vs DoorDash, they are the only reason I use DoorDash still.
Decided to try the place out as it had good reviews. Asked for one of their breakfast sandwiches and specified no bacon as my boyfriend and I are vegetarians. Once my boyfriend got his sandwich, he took a bite out of it thinking there was no bacon but ended up with a piece of bacon in his mouth. This was extremely upsetting as we have not eaten meat in a long time. Immediately spit it out. Went back inside to let them know what happened. They offered to remake it but we did not want another.They did end up refunding but we are still extremely upset. Definitely disappointed and will not be back ever.

Great drinks, great atmosphere, fast internet, and everyone is kind. Very welcoming and it isn’t super loud compared to other cafes I Frequent. The food is also great. I haven’t had a bad experience here and the staff are very kind. They have space for you to sit and chat or get work done solo. Highly recommend their London Fog and their Chai.

Owners and staff are sweet like their coffees. They out in effort in making your experience better and greet you with a smile. It gets busy over there for a reason so I highly recommend supporting this local business with their high quality baked goods and coffee.

We come from Monterey and visit family… me and my husband ALWAYS make it a MUST to stop at the mug! Just a great little reminder of back home and AMAZING coffee!!!! We’re just in shock how the shop changed and expanded. That is just awesome!!!! Anytime we head back to Monterey we ALWAYS recommend the mug to people when visiting in Fresno. Just a great local coffee shop!

I'm new to Fresno, stopped by for a simple cup of coffee and I was greeted with wonderful hospitality from the owner serving my coffee. He shared what the coffee shop was all about and the different types of food. He brought the coffee to my seat which was refreshing, not your standard waiting at Starbucks for your name to be called out, blah. Couples were in there having breakfast, people on their laptop, and other friendly people saying "Hi", as they walked through the door (you don't see that much). It was a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely get my coffee here.
Even later update: new expansion into shop to the east is completed. Tons of room, there is now a small stage in the corner that will soon host musicians and comedians on Thursday and Saturday evenings. Check the website for details. Update: remodel completed, more room for chairs and tables, good thing, this place is full much of the time. Coffee is the best in town and Crystal's homemade treats are to die for! The staff is not only competent, but very friendly and go out of their way to serve their customers well. I just love this place! Celebrating grand re-opening tonight. Mike and Crystal have done fantastic work with this place. Great coffee, great friends, and Jesus!

As far as coffee shops go, The Mug is a quiet, nice, and clean shop. The staff members are quick to take your order, and proficient in what they do. Outside tables are available, if a person or small group prefer. The Mug is a nice and quiet neighborhood coffee shop.

Inside is newly renovated! It looks super cute. Great space. You don't feel crowded. Love the options of food and drinks here, although I haven't had a drink which is the 4 star because I have not had their drink menu. I always carry water on hand...but sweater weather is approaching and I can't wait to try their hot drinks and read a book. There are some cozier seats and more traditional table and chair options. Wish I loved closer to The Mug! Thank you to the owners for being good humans!
