The best mocha with dark chocolate!!! The competitor does not have dark chocolate!
At 4pm on 3/15/23 only 2 employees, she apologized to the line of 3 people for the wait. I was next in line, current customer ordered Bev & heated croissant. We all waited patiently. I was asked what I wanted, I gave my order the employee then said oh wait the last purchase was DECLINED. Asked the customer to return and use another form of payment. Customer said I only have this one card. Employee said “the power went out a few hours ago maybe that’s the issue and said this time we just won’t charge you”. I placed my order again, went to use my PEETS gift card, employee said”I can’t take that”. The system is down 😳. I regret just leaving without insisting I get a refund for the $20 gift card I purchased last week. I will never return to this location. Terrible business practices and zero courtesies given to ALL customers. The employee picks & chooses one customer over another.. terrible
Large sized Peets with many patrons on a Saturday morning. No seats but fast service.
Ordered Hot Mocha! Both white and regular. Great spot bustling with customers. Had a lot of online orders and restrooms are clean.
The coffee is good - but what makes it great is the 80s/90s alternative rock music. I'm so tired of rap music or pop music where people just modify their voice and put a beat to it.
Love espresso coffee ☕️
Very nice staff
That was pretty rude and indifferent.I stood in there for about 5 minutes waiting for an order and not one employee welcomed me, I wasn't even acknowledged. Same goes for the other customers. Manners aren't bad neither is being a kind person. Being busy is no excuse to be rude or careless about the people around you.
This place seems really hit or miss, depending on who is working. Sometimes it's quick, friendly, efficient service, sometimes it takes 10 minutes to get a drip coffee and an employee is barking out to customers like they're a drill Sargeant. Will honestly probably go elsewhere from now on.
I've decided to NEVER visit this Peet's location again. Super-slow service on the weekends, and today when I went in and ordered a LARGE drink, they tried giving me a medium. The young girl said, "Well, you were charged for a medium, so if you want, we can remake it if you pay the difference." Are you kidding me! THEIR mistake, and they want to make me pay the $1 difference! I should have taken my $1.80 tip back! I just told her, "forget it," and walked out. Funny thing is, the SAME thing happened a month or two ago. WOW! But that time, at least the barista just chose to give me a slight attitude and remake it, in LARGE, and not "charge me the difference." What do they think...that I am trying to "hustle" them by getting a large drink for the price of a medium??? ASININE! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Additionally, when I first walked in, there were like 4 people waiting for their drinks and no one waiting to order. So I walked up, and stood there for at least 2 minutes like the invisible man, with no one even acknowledging my presence. Maybe a, "Hello sir, we'll be right with you" would be appropriate? And then when the girl finally did come to the counter, she just stood there, stared blankly at me and said nothing! RUDE!!! Maybe I'm just getting old, but it seems like people in the service industry are just too cool or too busy to do what they are paid to do...BE NICE TO PEOPLE!!! Or maybe, let's just blame COVID...it's what everyone else is doing! LOL!!! P.S., Clayton Valley Shopping Center Peet's Employees: Linguistically, the words "LARGE" and "MEDIUM" sound NOTHING alike...The first has 1 syllable, and the second has 3 syllables and a long vowel. Even with my mask, you should have "understood" me.
Pete's. Do I need to say more.
Excellent coffee and service!
Ordered two one pound bags of ground coffee and was shorted (one bag weighed 13.7 oz the other 15.08 oz) Makes me wonder how many other times they've ripped me off.
Replaced all their padded chairs with uncomfortable little wood-hard things so no one stays long. Too bad, it was such a nice place to read at or chat with friends at. Just another grab and go now.
Staff are really friendly, Coffee is better than Starbucks, and the location is convenient for Clayton residents.
This location needs to get more employees or have a more organized staff. As I've been here several times yet I always have to wait almost 20 min for my cofee. And either I'm issuing a pastry or they give me what ever they want.
Out of chocolate croissants at 8:30 am. No excuse for that. Poor planning to say the least. Fail.
I order from this specific location almost DAILY. They are usually great HOWEVER when THEY accidentally forget something in a delivery order when the bag is sealed and taped up in restaurant youd like to think maybe they would take some responsibility for the mistake on their part? No not at all, were going to hang the phone up, ridicule me for the fact they dont have the slip for my drink. I understand mornings get busy and I understand mistakes happen but a little accountability and professionalism would be GREAT, especially towards your REGULAR customers.
Forget about place an online order…. Staff is overwhelmed and as a result you will experience a huge delay to get your order.
This branch needs to disable their mobile app. If you order in person, cool...if you use Dooor Dash, all good.... use the mobile app, forget it! My husband and I wait on average an extra 10 minutes just to pick up a single coffee or a bag of beans. Nobody in that shop seems to care about the app user, it's so weird. We bought a final bag of beans here yesterday & again we waited for several minutes while all other orders were handled right in front of our sad little mobile app user eyes. We are done here, we'll drive down the hill for better service going forward.
