Extremely good coffee, and the wet burrito is to die for.
The staff ignore you as you wait to place your order at the counter. Avocado toast was lame (egg had clear goo and it was all tasteless) but the unfriendly atmosphere is enough to keep me away in the future.
Would never come back. Rude and unprofessional staff. Attempted to order a cup of coffee. I was ignored. Another lady walks up and they immediately provide her service. I politely said she could go next and waited. They make in his 20’s with the tattoo on the back of his left arm refuses to acknowledge or serve me. I have no idea what I did to make them treat me so horribly. I will not be coming back here to patronize this hotel or this coffee shop. They should take lessons from the staff next door.
Steer clear of this hotel cafe. Nothing they make is good. The service is terrible and extremely slow. The last time I went, I just decided to leave without my tea, because who expects a cup of tea to take more than 10 minutes? They need to get additional help at the very least to get orders out faster. Another woman came downstairs while I was waiting for my tea, she ordered her coffee 30 minutes earlier through room service, and it still wasn’t ready. They had to make it for her on the spot. It’s ridiculous. They also need to hire a new chef. Pick up whoever is making the food back. There isn’t doing a great job.
It's nice
White Mocha is my fave and pancake taste yummy forgot to take pics of food. Padre hotel is gem in Bakersfield.
I had the turkey burger with ghost pepper cheese. If you like a bit of a kick this is your burger!
Sad. We got there we waited at the front of the bar of the Cafe itself for 10mins waiting for service. The person comes out and asks us "do you need anything?" Welp. If I'm here I probably want some coffee or a drink. We told them some coffee. Didn't notice but on my receipt they charged me for a shot of espresso when it should be included in a dirty chai. If you google the definition of a dirty chai it comes with shot. Then I was charged with Oat Milk and I had no idea that would be an extra charge. They also used Tazo Chai Late......I'm confused there isn't that pre-made already ready to drink?!? Lolz Our shots were not pulled correctly and over extracted. Its a really cute place and its beautiful inside but the quality of coffee is not good.
Waited 10 minutes for help then my espresso shot came out way over extracted and flavorless. My wife's chai tea was tazo from the store. Will not be coming back.
2nd time in bakersfield only this time our first time in downtown area and only coffee shop that popped in our radius. Coffee was excellent and their breakfast platter was great. I had a French toast but felt bread was too dense.
The Farmacy Cafe and the Padre Hotel are one and the same. The food is AWESOME but a little pricey. It is well worth it though. This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant is absolutely perfect.
Whoever is reviewing this place highly must not have taste buds. The misses and I wanted to try something new and after spending $46 on breakfast we literally took like couple bites and left 97% of our food sitting on the plate. The eggs sucked, bacon might as well have been jerky, the "chorizo" tasted like dof food. Almost puked after trying it. The potatos were good and the coffee was good also but for $46 this place was absolutely not worth it at all. Will never return again.
We got our coffee and tea from there while we dined in at 18hundred. We recommend B52 and Chai tea which tasted amazing!😋 Also very friendly baristas🙏🏻☺️
Great coffees. Staff are very friendly.
Breakfast wrap soggy. Coffee mediocre. Higher expectations for them being connected to exotic hotel.
Coffee was good. There was a good amount of food. Potatoes were dry. Egg were ok. I couldn’t open my jelly container and the container was greasy.
Food was excellent and drinks were on point
High in price, low in food
I have waited a long time to visit the Padre and it didn't disappoint. Rachel the waitress was so nice and recommended a power bowl with blackened salmon, yams and spinach. Soooooo good. I will be going back to have dinner at the Belvedere. So beautiful!!!
I love getting coffee here and sitting out on the patio or parklet watching the hum of downtown bakersfield life.
