What a lovely place. I came here on a Sunday seeking a relaxing place to have coffee and read a book. Lovely staff, good coffee, and definitely try the breakup cookie.

The atmosphere was great. Books and nice chairs for reading while sipping coffee. Service was okay by high school students who learned to practice business skills. Coffee was subpar. More of a rendezvous point than a coffee lover's heaven.

Such a cute little coffee shop and book store! Great atmosphere, upstairs, kid nook, and cozy patio. Moka and Wren made us delicious Amaretto Chai Lattes, and a berry apple juice for our kiddo, and the pastries made by Ian were great! Try the Breakup Cookie. Wish we could've stayed longer on our way back home, but we'll be back for sure!

The ambience is very nice here. Service was quick and friendly. Only been here once and had tea. The tea was well flavored. My companions also enjoyed their drinks.

This place is AWESOME! Great coffee, great bakery items (shortbread cookies and the breads are just fantastic!), reasonably priced, and the UAB students working there are great! I'd give Church Street ten stars if I could! If I lived in the state, I'd be there every day! Remember: The kids depend on our tips to supplement their income so treat them well! Drop in $2 instead of $1, or $5 instead of $2. 😃 Pro Tip: I just tried the "Tree Hugger" bar. Kind of a granola-y, sunflower seed-y, brown sugar-y, concoction that is one of the best tasting, absolutely delicious, sorta-healthy bars I've ever had! Try it!

My chi latte was not good… I had them remake it but just was not for me. But it was a nice little place with a loft (great for studying). The staff was kind and place clean. I am looking forward to going again and trying something different.

Busy, but for good reason. Went here for the first time on Sunday. Had a cappuccino and a breakup cookie. Staff went out of their way to let me know if I had a few minutes that they had a fresh batch of cookies coming out soon, so I waited and was definitely not disappointed. The breakup cookie seriously has to be one of the best desserts in town and the coffee and vibe were great to sit down and stay a while.

Delicious coffee and even sweeter treats. The breakup cookie is so insanely good. Wish there was more seating, but the coffee is so worth it. Nice atmosphere.

Nice find in suburban Birmingham and the barista remembered drink order by 2nd visit. Long live independent coffee shop and book stores

Hazelnut cappuccino was delicious, just enough sweetness. The breakup cookie was alright. More outdoor seating would be really nice but they did have some comfy chairs on the side.

Picked up some Break Up Cookies for a work thing and they are amazing. Order was ready ahead of time and the staff was all very friendly. The cookies are AMAZING. I will be back to get more and hopefully be able to stay and enjoy the store's atmosphere next time
