This market/restaurant is really cool! The food was great and the service was excellent! We went for breakfast and I recommend the brioche French toast.

I've walked by here so many times, but finally took the plunge to meet for brunch--so glad we did! The atmosphere is so cozy, and everything is well decorated. It's a market, bar, coffee lounge, restaurant, and grab-n-go all in one! Such a cool environment! Our server was so friendly and quite patient as we took our time to chat and go over their menu. It's not a huge selection, but that was quite welcome, in my opinion. I get overwhelmed when restaurants have 100 choices! I started off with a hazelnut latte, which was the perfect drinking temperature upon serving...quite surprising! Not overly sweet and a good balance of hazelnut and coffee. We ordered fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and shrimp & grits. Our frost round of tomatoes was cold on the inside due to being sliced too thick. Our waitress was so kind about it and brought fresh, perfectly cooked ones out again. I'm crazy picky about pimento cheese, but theirs is fabulous! The tomatoes were fried so well and not greasy. Total win! The shrimp and grits were some of the best I've had (and that's a lot!). Tender, perfectly cooked shrimp, creamy grits, small chunks of conecuh sausage, and just enough peppers to give it flavor and color. The cream sauce was delicious... I devoured it far quicker than anticipated. The food is not inexpensive, but honestly well worth it. It's no more costly than any other place around Huntsville. I'm excited to go back and try more! Great environment, great service, and great food--definitely give it a try!

We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning. As this was our first time here, we relied on the server for some suggestions and they offered us some great choices. Very cool atmosphere and fast service.

I went today around lunch with my mom, wife, and baby. Now I’ll admit, the seating was full. We managed to find some seats at a lounge area with couches and big comfy chairs. What surprised me was that they actually had a contingency for this; but let me get to that in sequence. Firstly, the place was packed, but the manager came over and brought us waters and took our drink order at a totally reasonable speed—note: he didn’t say he was the manager, but it was fairly clear. He and his staff were seriously amazing; I drink a ton of water, not even for a single moment was my water ever empty. The food got out crazy fast and all of us were happy. -My mom got the omelette with Chorizo -My wife got the French Toast -I got the Black Bean Burger with sweet potato waffle fries Onto their small grocery area: It’s just like I described, they have a selection of gourmet condiments, foods, craft beers and wines. Although I’m not well versed in a lot of their wines they had a respectable selection of unique vino and craft beer; however, they had a specific line up of items that I knew about in their foods that I typically have to order from the maker. I spent like a hundred dollars, so their selection of gourmet finds is pretty solid. All in all, it’s definitely worth a visit for the food and service; but, you might accidentally blow some money on the snacks.

Bartender spent more time chatting on the patio than attending to guests. Overpriced for the lack of service received.

Arrived at 10:15, wasn’t helped for 15 min, finally someone comes over and said we would have to wait until lunch at 11. Missed the 10:30 cut off for any other places. Terrible service:

Update: after my most recent visit can’t say I’d be back. The quality of food has diminished. This place is amazing! This is more than a grocery store, it is a bar, wine shop, and a great place to get drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxing and welcoming as well as the service. I recommend coming here to everyone!

A little drafty because of the cold and table wasn't really big enough to hold appetizers and entrees. Other than those 2 things I had great experience. I'm happy to go back and explore the menu. It is an easy gem of the city to enjoy brunch.

This is a gem of a downtown location. Great food and drinks and an atmosphere that you can just sink into. The only bad thing is that it is not where I live! I would totally be a regular if it was.

The Standard Social Market A gathering place… A grocery… A restaurant… 3 in 1. Totally love the vibe of this place. Think New York Bodega…whether you need a morning latte, fresh bread, a place to sit and work, a place to watch the game, a bottle of wine to-go, a fresh cut of sirloin, or a roll of paper towels, The Standard raises the bar with the best of everything. Just the parking is an issue because it located in downtown, but you can get lucky if you are heading there for breakfast. A great place to catch up with your friends and peers. I didn’t get to try the food, but I’m heading their way soon and will keep you posted! #ihearthsv #socialmarket #realtormom #realtormomlife #foodfoodieshsv

Nice Brunch Spot. I really enjoyed the Steak. Altbough it came out lukewarm my server corrected it as soon as we brought it to his attention. I never understood why resteraunts wait to bring everything together but that's the case here. I also had a biscuit with gravy, because I was torn. I was really packed. I suggest going outside of rush hours. Shrimp & Grits was cooked to perfection. Pictures added. Definitely a little peice of heaven in downtown Huntsville.

This was some of the best brunch I've ever had. There was a bit of a wait (I can see why) but it was well worth it. Very friendly staff and great food. The breakfast burrito was amazing and the potatoes on the side were the perfect kind of crispy. I can't wait to come back and eat here again.
