Love this place! The employees are so nice, and as a person who is really at my limit for tipflation, I love that it’s advertised that they make a living wage- as they should! Highly recommend a weekday visit since they can sell out of a lot on weekends. The cinna-bomb is my go to! But it sells quick. Also, I hesitated to go for a bit since I thought the parking situation would stress me out. But it was actually really easy to do street parking right around the corner. 10/10- just go!

I've been once and that one time was well worth it! I went around closing time, but I was able to pick up some of the best cookies I've tasted! It was some type of glorified chocolate chip and I think a cranberry type of cookie, with white chocolate chips. The size and density of those cookies was probably equivalent to 2, or maybe 3 haha. Can't wait to get back to try other items!

Drove up from bham to visit. Amazing experience! Highly recommend. Staff was so nice and accommodating. My 3 kids loved it! The food is top not notch, I recommend everything but our personal favorites were the cookies and the Oreo bombs!

This Huntsville bakery and coffee shop is a favorite of mine. I love to meet here for coffee and a pastry. I've had the blueberry muffin and the monkey bread (*pictured after a bite was taken - oops!) for breakfast... both are big enough to share. Don't forget to leave with a cookie or two or three... they are the best cookies and also big enough to share. I'm looking forward to trying the kolaches next time and the fresh squeezed orange juice. As far as the store itself, the staff are always friendly, there is plenty of seating and I've never had trouble finding a parking spot nearby (usually on a side street on the same block). 10/10 recommend you give this place a try... you will not be disappointed!

This place is up there with San Diego, NYC, Paris, and Rome bakeries that I've been too. Man it is good!

They care about their craft and their employees. Some of the best croissants and fresh squeezed orange juice I’ve ever had. Very committed to the quality of their products.

Warm environment with very friendly staff! You can tell that the staff really enjoy what they do by the way you’re treated. That make such a huge difference and made our experience more enjoyable. Now on to the food. That croissant was maybe the best I’ve ever had. It was so buttery and flaky with crisp cheese topping. The cookie was my favorite part of this day. So rich and filled with chocolate! I had to flag down one of the bakingtist to ask what magic was put in it. I was so upset that I didn’t bring any home!

If you have not tried The Bakingtist in downtown Huntsville, you are missing out! You will have a Eureka moment when the food hits your taste buds. They have the best blueberry muffins that this southern boyhas ever tasted. The cookies are out of this world, which is perfect for the Rocket City. All jokes aside, I have not tried an item yet that I would not go back for seconds. Besides the food and coffee being excellent, the staff is by far the friendliest in Huntsville. Heide, the owner, is a master chemicist in the kitchen and extremely helpful. So visit The Bakingist as soon as possible or your taste buds will never forgive you!

We have fallen in love with the Bakingtist! Everything we’ve tried from the focaccia to the croissants to the HUGE cookies have been so delicious. The owner is such as sweet as her baked goods! The Bakingtist has rightfully earned a place in our breakfast date rotation 💜🤍

We have been here a couple times and it has always been fantastic. The cookies are amazing, they are almost like a small cookie pie. The outside is a bit crunchy (but not burnt) and the interior is soft and gooey (especially if reheated briefly). Everytime I go back im excited to try something new!

A perfect bakery for Huntsville! With delicious food and scientific flair, the Bakingtist is a wonderful addition to the downtown food scene. Heidi treats each customer like family, and has some absolutely incredible baked goods. I personally love the breakfast faccocia bake with conecuh sausage (my two year old goes in for the monkey bread).

We came last Sunday and absolutely loved everything about our experience--from the delicious coffee to the pastries, everything was perfection. Top notch service as well.

Literally everything I have tried from this bakery has been top-notch. Croissants were flakey AF, as was the crust to a delicious apple hand pie. “Is there crack in here?” was my first thought when I tried the monkey bread. The blueberry “cruffin” was loaded with fruit yet somehow not soggy?! Idk what kind of scientific alchemy the Bakingtist is doing in the dead of night to to achieve these results, but the results are incredible.

Best ham and cheese croissant I've ever had, monkey bread, cookie, and blueberry muffin were phenomenal too. Also had very helpful staff. I'll be back soon.

Croissants better than Paris! On one of our first times at The Bakingtist, I had a croissant. I had never had anything like it. It was light, flaky, had “crunch” and delicious flavor. I loved it. We had a trip to Paris scheduled and it made me look forward to it even more. Well, we just got back and my husband and I were so disappointed in the Parisian croissants. We tried several different patisseries—none of them were as flaky or delicious and NONE had the “crunch” from the layers of lamination that take 3 DAYS to make! So, if you are looking for a QUALITY bakery, this is your place! We travelled half way around the globe to realize the best was in our backyard! WELL DONE THE BAKINGTIST!

Visited this gem of a spot in lovely Huntsville and was not disappointed! The space is so fun and takes you back to high school chemistry in the most positive of ways. And the treats will keep you coming back again and again! The blueberry muffins are massive and filled with berries. The monkey bread divine and cookies huge and delicious. Located in Huntsville’s iconic Times Building in the heart of downtown, visit the bakingist!

The Bakingtist is HANDS DOWN the best bakery in Huntsville (north Alabama??). My first visit we tried a bunch of different things. The cookies are where it’s at, y’all! Crumble, who? But really. Better than insomnia. Better than crumble. Better than my own, delicious homemade cookies. They’re huge, flavorful, and have the perfect texture. Everything is fresh. The baked goods are sweet in the best way, but the flavors come through so well. Sugar doesn’t overpower the flavor! Such a big win. The customer service is impeccable. I had my son with me and he loved watching the bakers through the window in the shop. Everyone was so kind to him! The owner is so friendly and approachable. Let’s consume all the scrumptious carbs to keep this amazing business around!

We were at the Madison Farmers Market Saturday and came across their Apple Cream Cruffin. It was so delicious! So we looked up the Bakingtist to see if they had a storefront and decided to check it out the very next day. I love the store front. Very awesome decor inside, threw me back to high school chemistry class! We tried several items and loved all of them but the monkey bread was amazing… actually it was more than that. It was the best monkey bread I’ve ever had! Not exaggerating. My 3 year old loves all the food too! Street parking was a close walk around the corner. The staff were so friendly and were very helpful for our first time. We even met the owner and you could tell how much love she puts in to every bite. I highly recommend making the trip downtown to try some of her creations. I know I’ll be back! Oh yes and try the Oj, you won’t be sorry haha.
