I visited here a week or so ago wanting to try some of their baked goods. I'd read they'd recently reopened under new ownership and had been hearing positive things. We have so many wonderful options for baked sweets and treats in Huntsville, but I'm happy to report that I can add GHB to my list of recommendations too! This shop is located in the same center as Char, Chop n Fresh, and Chuy's (lots of C names, haha). I do find the parking consistently a little challenging in this shopping center, but there is an adjacent parking deck that makes things a little easier. GHB is on the far end from the street in a corner. The inside of the shop is small but there's a few spots to sit and hang and I did see a gentlemen on a laptop doing just so. I imagine it stays fairly quiet inside so it may be a good place to work or study. They offer freshly baked loaves of bread, deli sandwiches and soups, and sweets, like scones, cookies, and muffins. They have an espresso machine and a coffee menu too. It was hard for me to tell if they offered iced coffee (I don't drink hot coffee usually) as the words on the menu were a little small for me to see without glasses, but next time I go I will ask. Too late in the afternoon anyway. :) The lady who greeted me and rang me up was personable and happy to tell me about the product without overselling or making me feel pressured. I got the impression she was the owner or manager, but I'm not positive. She was lovely. They have a bread board with samples of their bread you can take for free any time you come in. Yay! They are now selling a chocolate chip peanut butter bread that I HAD to taste. It was delicious! Soft and slightly moist with a nice crust. I think if I had to sum up their offerings with one phrase, it would be: "Not too sweet!" This is a plus for me, since it allows you to taste all the other flavors in the product and isn't overwhelming or cloying. The bread wasn't too sweet and would make a great brea

Whether it's sweet or savory, I haven't been disappointed in any of their bakery. Delicious food, great service, beautiful place, pleasant atmosphere. Also very pleased with my sourdough starter from Great Harvest!!

Our whole family loves this place! Everything is fresh and delicious, and the team is so friendly and helpful. They catered a recent event of ours, and everything was so well organized and presented nicely. Our attendees commented on how tasty and substantial the sandwiches were. I definitely recommend them!

Best cinnamon chip bread ever! It makes the most delicious cinnamon toast. 🤤 Also living on their sourdough bread every week. So yummy! All of the employees are super sweet and helpful. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the Huntsville area.

Well-crafted sandwiches on fresh house-made bread and a tantalizing case of freshly baked goodies are some of the tasty things you'll find at Great Harvest Bread Co in Huntsville. I've got a particular soft spot for their scones (cinnamon chip every time) and for a more savory one-and-done, the cheddar biscuit is a no-brainer. Sandwiches served up on slabs of sourdough hit the spot, and an untold number of the whole sourdough loaves have made it home with us to enjoy with cheese and olive oil. And for dessert, don't overlook the fudgy brownie drizzled in caramel, because, well..."brownie" and "caramel" doesn't need further explanation!

Since the new owners took over, this is our family's very favorite bakery in town! I love that they give samples as you come in -- really helps our littles to wait patiently for our order, which is never a long wait anyway. My favorite is the honey whole wheat slathered with butter, and the kids' vote is the cinnamon chip. We always end up buying multiple loaves to bring home. Can you say YUM to cinnamon chip French toast?? I love their soups and sandwiches also. The chicken salad is my fav. I so appreciate having a healthy, quick, family-friendly place to bring our fam.

Great Harvest is our go to lunch spot. We love supporting the local business owners and the food is delicious. The products they use let you walk away feeling satisfied and healthy, unlike many lunch options these days. The menu is unique and always has something good to try. Also, lots of free samples!

Great place to bring all the family. Their blueberry cream cheese scones are my downfall - one of my favorite foods. Delicious sourdough bread, exquisite soups. Friendly staff - I wish we lived next door to them 👌🏼😊

This is a great little bakery and Cafe. The staff is very nice and they offer samples of their bread and baked goods. I got the spicy apple bacon grilled cheese which was amazing. I also got a cinnamon chip scone which was as big as my hand. I will definitely be going back!

Just discovered this place! Excellent food and service. Management and staff have a keen eye for excellence in the quality of their food. I did not know this, nor do I know of any other place that does this, but when you dine in at Great Harvest Bread Co, you don't get pre-made, frozen factory break like the chain bakeries. No, this place is next-level! The owner and baking crew show up at 3 AM to start making bread. This includes actually GRINDING wheat berries into flour with a high quality stone mill. Everything is made from scratch in the back. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for the first time yesterday. Had a great visit. We were greeted by the new owners. We ordered sandwiches and then decided to try the brownies. Wow it was good. Definitely will be back. Great food and excellent service.

I have been to Great Harvests all literally all over the country. This is by far the worst. THREE kinds of bread. None of the traditional offerings found in all of the other stores. A grocery store bakery has a better selection. Skip it if you’re going for bread.

I loved buying their bread and cookies at the weekly farmers market and I finally came by the store and it was a great experience. I bought a cookie and it was possibly the best cookie I've ever eaten. The tea was also very good. I sat at the table to eat and drink and enjoyed it. Its a good place to spend time talking to someone. The food, especially the cookies, are always very tasty and reasonably priced. The only negative was some things weren't clearly priced.

Wow, I could not put this sandwich down until I had finished it all! I had just gotten off a 12 hour shift and wanted something to rejuvenate me, and by God I got it. I was warmly and enthusiastically greeted by three associates, one of which recognized me from a previous visit. They promptly sought out my needs, and a young woman working offered me to sample one of the cookies they made — a typical practice of theirs! The man working made sure I got exactly what I was looking for. My sandwich was phenomenal! Everything is clearly made fresh and with love. I also got a jalapeño cheese loaf.. you have got to give that a try. Every other visit I’ve had also reflects this experience and my verdict is that you should absolutely give this place a try if you love bread or sandwiches.
