Love this cozy and quaint Cody shop on top of the mountain. The views are great and the beans are better !
So this is one of those hidden gems that's not quite on the main path, but the atmosphere is very nice and the parties and coffees are really good. The staff is friendly. My last trip here was a little dicey due to an extremely drunk customer who thought I would be a good person to stand next to and chat up while waiting for his coffee order. But that, of course, was not the fault of the staff, as they did their best to placate said drunkard and get him out of there quickly. It was a busy Sunday afternoon, and the shoppe was really busy and filled almost too capacity. Rather than causing a scene and disrupting everyone, the staff made an effort to just get him out before he got too belligerent. It is really hard being in a customer service industry and having to deal with these kind of situations. As the dude was barely able to hold himself upright, I felt it would be easier to just deal with him for the 3 or so minutes, than create drama for staff and customers. I only mention this as a way to illustrate the professionalism that was shown by the staff in their attempts to deal with a drunk Ken in a quiet and efficient manner. The white chocolate raspberry scones are too die for, by the way.
Great coffee, great atmosphere, great folks.
Love the atmosphere here. Always come to brainstorm and relax from my busy life
I love literally everything about this place. Today I had a frozen coffee with coconut syrup and a friend and I shared the toasted pimiento cheese croissant. It's all delicious and made fresh!
Not bad. The Harper iced coffee I tried was decent but I couldn’t really taste the flavors advertised. I also tried the white chocolate raspberry scone and the flavors were good, but it was more of a muffin texture in a scone shape. All in all, average coffee shop offerings in my opinion but I would return in support of a local business. The store itself was cute with fun merchandise to purchase! Family friendly atmosphere with a laid-back vibe. I could definitely see myself coming back to browse.
I wish all coffee shops were like Wild Roast. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean. Lots of seating and not stuffy.
This place is wonderful. I love the vibe as much as I love the lattes.
Love this local coffee shop. It's a must try.
Been living next to this place for years. Decided to try out Wild Roast this morning and I am grateful that I did! Got a large latte with 3 shots of espresso. Flavor is smooth - heads and shoulders above Starbucks. Owner was super nice, and the barrista worked efficiently. I will be supporting this local small business moving forward as they have better coffee than the competitors.
This place is so based. Cutest aesthetic, good prices, friendly staff. I even asked them a million questions, like “hey can I have an extra pump of Caramel-hey can I have mayo for my sandwich” and they were kind the entire time. It has tons of beautiful natural light. The ham and Swiss sandwich was delicious!! I would have taken a picture of it but I scarfed it down. I want to come back when I’m being more relaxed with my calories and try their speciality drinks! They look delicious. For now I got a caramel macchiato and it was pretty good. And we met the owner Bart and he is AWESOME! (Based 😉)
This is quaint coffee shop is a gem here in Birmingham. It is well worth the drive to claim a spot in one of the cozy chairs. Or if you'd prefer, simply to browse the many locally made pieces of art or jewelry. There are even a few shelves of used books. I highly recommend you pay them a visit instead of the chain coffee shops. You'll be glad you did.
Great vibe, great coffee, and a little Christmas miracle! I have a Christmas Eve morning event and my syrup shipment didn’t show up. Wild Roast was super kind enough to sell me some bottles from their stock. Thank you so much for the Christmas cheer!
Just Parked in front of The Store ! To Go to the Barber Shop &Hard Ware Store !!! So I can't Say !!! Been in There Once !!! It Was A Good Atmosphere !!! 🙂👍
Made a point to come back here while visiting my parents in Hoover. Love the neighborhood and it's a neat space with lots of handmade goods for sale. Plus they make good coffee.
Awesome vibes, friendly baristas and great coffee!
Wild Roast is the best community cafe. With amazing and personalized drinks, bistro foods, and stellar baristas, it is the place to recharge! The ambiance is mellow, and the gift sections are socked with unique and sustainable goods. The best place on the Bluff for me.
As so many of our listeners know I love my coffee and I'm picky about who I do business with in that respect. I've travelled the country far and wide and Wild Roast is definitely one of my all time favorite coffee shops!
Great coffee, awesome gift shopping, very safety conscious. Makers market is nice too. Okay, I'm going to amend my review. I got a Harper Latte, and asked about the sugar content, and the barista was very accommodating. I LOVED it! 11/10 - do recommend. Update 2 years later: still have great coffee, still accommodating sugar content, and still have awesome stuff to shop. Saw 3 people working on computers, several small groups chatting, some people reading. Hubby and I pretended to be on a first date and had a lovely time.
We ordered 2 frappes, they were delicious. Also bought a cute coffee cup. Cool place to have coffee and a snack!
