A great coffee shop with killer coffee, surprisingly good made to order breakfast and Addyson. You need to check it out!
I live out of town and work at UAB and Santos is the only coffee shop I will go to in Birmingham! The coffee is great and I looooovveeee seeing Addyson there! She will remember your name, order and seeing her feels like seeing a friend! The staff seem like they all get along and it creates a great atmosphere to hangout, get a drink, or study!
We went to get a coffee and it was great! Service and friendliness perfect! Please be kind to people…always 💓
My name is Thomas and I've been in birmingham less than 2 weeks and I found this coffee shop on day 1. From the 1rst cup to today I've never received better service from anywhere in my entire life. Is the coffee good? Absolutely. But what really matters and what I'm speaking about is how Chey and Addyson treat each and every person who comes in. You treated not just with good customer service but they actually care how you're doing and how life is treating you. Anybody can do a good job but it takes beautiful hearts to do what they do!!!!!! So thank you for being more than just a coffee shop!
Love this coffee bar!! While I'm in town for work, this is my go-to! The coffee is amazing. Be sure to check out their local specials. The food is incredible as well. They make it fresh on site. None of the pre packaged stuff. As well as fresh backed muffins too. The staff is friendly and fantastic. The coffee bar is spacious, clean and has a great vibe with big windows as well. Can't recommend Santos enough when in Birmingham and the Up town area.
While I was in town for work, I went here every single day to enjoy the amazing coffee, friendly staff, and energizing environment. Addyson and Chey greeted me with a smile every morning and made sure my coffee was to my liking. I wish I could bring this place home with me!
What can I say but Addyson…I stayed in Bham for a conference and am always on the look out for a cool little coffee shop when I travel. I typically don’t go to chains but Santos was it outside of the norm hotel overpriced swill. I made a visit each morning I was in town for one reason. Addyson. This bright and shinning human with a personality that meets you at the curb was amazing. Over the days I saw that she had several regulars. Customer service can’t touch the description of Addyson. She is the highlight of Birmingham for me.
Fun, urban location in the heart of the convention complex, with a bohemian, funky, post-Millenial staff. It's one of the few places in the Ham that feels more like Portland or San Francisco than the Deep South. 😃😃😃
My favorite coffee. I purchase the bags of beans in addition to daily visit for the best cup of coffee in Birmingham. One request, better fitting lids on 16 oz cups. Lastly, the San Nicolás, makes amazing expresso
My family and I are staying at the Westin. We have been to Santos the last two days and they have been nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious and well prepared, and the drinks are equally delicious. I kept ordering the Basil Lavender Latte Iced... Holy smokes, it's so good I keep buying extras. They were busy and only had two people on staff but still made you feel heard and were communicative. They worked very well under pressure. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be back.
you're going to go out of business, just like octane... the whole point of being a coffee bar is that there's a BAR open late. everyone there is nice, and the food is good, but five pm every day, let alone the weekend? that's not going to attract any customers. hate to see this happen but it most definitely will if the hours stay this limited.
Stopped by this cute coffee shop on our girls trip! The breakfast & coffee was out of this world! One of the best chias I’ve ever had! Wonderful baristas as well!
Love the Cafe Maya, iced and with oat milk...the details are an excellent complement to the espresso.

I really, really loved this place! It had great coffee, and I wasn’t able to eat any of the baked goods due to being allergic to gluten and dairy, but they had fresh fruit available that I could eat :) the seats were comfortable, the windows let in a lot of light. It felt very queer affirming and friendly. If I’m ever in Birmingham again, I will definitely be coming back! 💖💖
I am visiting Birmingham and Santos Coffee Uptown is just down from my hotel. Have been here multiple times over the past few days and have always had an amazing experience. The food is wonderful (crepes for the win!) and the coffee is delicious. But beyond that, the staff is absolutely exceptional. No matter how busy or slow, you are welcomed warmly and they work to make sure you have the best experience possible. Visit them when in town…you will be so glad you did!
Great Customer Service, Killer Vibe, and Loved Coffee!
Stopped in for a light breakfast while at a conference. Ordered a bagel sandwich and a cafe mocha. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and warm with a light, fresh scrambled egg & fresh sausage. Not heavy, just perfect. Without a doubt, they served the best cafe mocha I have had! I commented on it and was told it's the dark chocolate they use. It was so good, I ordered a second one to go along with one of their blueberry muffins. Cool vibe in the space and super-friendly staff. Great way to start the day! Plus, they have beer and wine all day!
As far as corporate coffee spots go, it's alright. The people that work there are awesome! The coffee is passable, nothing to write home about. If you need a place to work from, though, I'd give it a B+. There is better coffee in Birmingham, but not within 7 blocks minimum.
