Welcome to Punch Love, the coffee shop that has got it all, from caffeine-packed drinks to tantalizing tacos and pastries! Owned by the ever-talkative Tim, Punch Love is the perfect place to go if you want to hear every little detail about Tim's life. Just be prepared to listen for a while. But let's talk about the real star of the show: the coffee. At Punch Love, you can get your caffeine fix in a variety of forms, from hot cortados to refreshing iced coffee. And if you're feeling adventurous, why not try Tim's signature drink, the Live Laugh Love? I’m not quite sure what's in it, but it's definitely caffeinated. But Punch Love isn't just about coffee. Oh no. They've got a whole range of delicious treats, including Last Call pastries, and Lady Bird Tacos, named after a bird that I’m pretty sure doesn't actually exist. And if you're looking for something to take home with you, be sure to check out the Everyday Oil. I have no idea what it does, but it's probably pretty everyday. But the real highlight of Punch Love? The cleanliness. This place is spotless, from the house plants adorning every available surface to the bathroom that is so clean you could eat off the floor. But please don't do that. I’m pretty sure it's still a bathroom. So if you're looking for great coffee, delicious food, and a never-ending stream of conversation from Tim, Punch Love is the place for you. Just don't forget to bring your own earplugs. (thx chatgpt for this review, love u uncle tim)
The nicest guy with the nicest coffee!
This coffee shop is one of the best in Bham. I’ve seen the most effort towards sustainability with this crew, amazing pastry from Last Call, and just a great experience. No tender male ego that I’ve seen here.
Punch Love Coffee gives the Australian coffee scene a run for its money! The seasonal syrups are always well-balanced, and the coffee is ethically sourced. The music creates a pleasant atmosphere, and the pastries are fire. Plus, the owner really knows his stuff about coffee. Don’t settle for that bland, burnt gallon-sized coffee you're drinking instead buy a cortado at Punch Love Coffee.
Tim is an asset to the community and has never been anything but perfectly pleasant anytime I've come by. He goes through explaining the same thing to everyone everyday about sizing (if you ask) because he is very passionate about what he does and doing it right. His passion for this place and the people who come in is just one of the many reasons to stop by. Super thankful to have him here, doing what he does. The coffee is fantastic too. ✌️
Tim is always friendly, willing to make adjustments for preference and dietary needs, and comes up with super fun seasonal drinks. Love how supportive he is of other local businesses, too!
What a great coffee shop!! Always great conversation and even better beans 🫘 🤗
The coffee is as hot as the guy making it. will go back for more!
I AM DRINKING THIS COFFEE RIGHT NOW AND I CANNOT STOP SHOUTING AND WRITING IN CAPS LOCKS IT IS SO GOOD AND IT IS SUPER CAFFINATED AND PUNCTUATION IS FOR LOSERS THAT LIKE WEAK COFFEE
Love this place. I don’t always get to go but I love the variety of beans they serve, I love the chocolate, and also the staff is fantastic. I’ll be back soon.
Best coffee I’ve had so far ( in Alabama )
Unusually quiet and easy to concentrate here. Also, I would say it’s the only place in town with actual coffee “creations” where the barista puts together finely-crafted seasonal concoctions.
Owner is kind and welcoming, and keeps the place highly clean. I love the name and logo of the place and he has it on his coffee machine too. Pretty awesome
I really liked it. I am not at all a coffee connoseiur. The owner was super friendly and explained the menu to me patiently. I don't drink much caffeine, and he told me about what low-caffeine options they have. It seems like they are using really high-quality products.
First time visiting, the drip and cappuccino were fantastic! Had a good time chit-chatting with the barista and loved his setup. He was slinging great bean and using quality equipment to brew with. Definitely a must visit in Birmingham for a third wave experience.
The place looked amazing and the guy behind the counter was super personable and easy to talk to. The coffee was only okay though. Not bad but I've definitely had better.
Enter on 3rd Ave S, not the 2nd Ave Alley. Great coffee, will be sure to pass by again next time I'm in town!
Bham is sooooo lucky to have this shop. I know there are some descent shops around town (that have great reputations) but this is the best one I've tried so far!
