This place knocked it out of the park!!!! Habanaro honey latte?! Orange infused milk latte??? Yes please! This place is pushing the limits of flavor and I am loving it. Such an amazing coffee adventure
Baba Java has some of the better coffee in the Birmingham area…it would easily rank up against coffee shops in Atlanta. Furthermore, the vibe inside is very nice and there’s a decent amount of spots to sit and get work done. Additionally, they have a few board games and card games to keep customers entertained. Their prices aren’t all too bad and the location they’re in is pretty nice, with ample food spots all around in case you get the jitters!
Great little coffee shop! We got the Orange Apeel Latte and the Camel Latte. Delicious!! Don’t be afraid to try something new here… it’s all good!
Really good coffee! I recently went for the first time and tried a drink off their Summer menu: The Lando. It tasted great. Friendly staff too! It was a little crowded so I’m glad I took my coffee to go, but that definitely speaks to the popularity of this cafe. Would definitely return if in the area and in the mood for some good coffee.
Awesome Quality and Service!! Baba Java is an amazing community supporter. Manager Lee went above and beyond to help spoil Oak Mountain Elementary Staff with delicious beverages during our Teacher Appreciation Week. I had never had baba java, but after my honey cinnamon latte, I’ll be stopping in frequently! Thanks to them for making everything so easy, affordable, and fun!!

Went twice in the past two days — had an Americano, which was good — standard plus. Had a hot tea, which very good. The drip coffee was the winner for me though. It was definitely better than the average drip — you could taste some fruity notes. Not just your average drip. I also had a ham and cheese puff pastry. That was great! A good bite to start the morning will.
Got a latte with a shot of vanilla. I’ve been in Birmingham for about 6 months and go to various cafes in search for good espresso. Thought I had found the best place and then I just happened to stop by here before my nail appointment next door. Baba has taken the #1 spot. Absolutely DELICIOUS!

Baba Java loves coffee and it shows. This local spot serves some of the best coffee in Birmingham. What makes them special is their beans, sourced from Ethiopia, China, Papa New Guinea and other countries around the globe and then roasted here in Birmingham. Their lattes are great but my suggestion is to get a pour over or americano to really enjoy the flavor of these great beans!
The best roaster in the central AL area in my opinion. Great variety, great quality, and reasonable prices. Plus their drinks are great too!
My go-to coffee stop when I’m in the area. Wonderful service, the staff has always been pleasant and welcoming. Whether you customize a basic or have one of their signature drinks or teas, so far everything my husband and I have tried has been delicious. It is also a great place to get some work done, the tables are perfect in terms of size. (Weird to say but it’s important I promise!)
Great atmosphere! Whether you're needing to get some work done, meet with a friend, or just come in and have a cup of coffee, this is the place to go. Not only is the menu diverse and delicious but the team is so helpful and hospitable - our barista Abby took some time to answer questions about the menu to make sure we ended up with exactly what we wanted. Great spot!
Coffee was good. Service was so terrible. Bad enough you tip before you receive service but when the service sucks, makes you want your $2.00 back. The barista on 1/2/22 at 3:50 was rude & generally terrible.
Great coffee, caramel made on site. Coffee brought to table. Great place to escape cabin fever if working from home office.
First time here. The staff provided great service. I had the Maple Brown Sugar Latte and the Lemon Blueberry Scone. They were both delicious before I knew it my latte was finished. Loved the atmosphere as well. Easy to access Wi-Fi. There were a lot of seating options available. If you’re in the Hoover area I highly recommend stopping in to just grab a coffee and baked goods to go, catch up with a friend, or get some work done.

We LOVE Baba Java. Family friendly atmosphere, great staff and good coffee. My family meets every Saturday for coffee, and my sister had her wedding reception in this space.
Absolutely love Baba Java and they are always helpful and so so sweet.
Absolutely top notch knowledgeable friendly staff. Lee was awesome with his obvious dedication to coffee! Coffee was on point full of flavor! Definitely will return when back I'm back in Hoover!
