This diner is definitely a gem!
Visiting from Texas and was very pleasantly surprised. It is usually difficult to find good sweet tea north of the Mason-Dixon, but it is excellent here. I happily downed 3-4 glasses of it.
The food itself was great. Had the big breakfast platter and it filled me up. Portions are generous for the prices. Everything was very tasty.
Service was excellent too. Our waitress was very personable and kept our glasses full.
Definitely recommend and would come back next time I'm in the area!

We work a graveyard shift and wanted to get some breakfast after work. We haven't been to wheelhouse in a bit ( another diner is closer to our home) so we decided to stop in. Our waitress was very friendly and we could see she really knew her regulars very well. She knew what they regularly ordered and how they liked their food. If we could financially afford to eat out more we would switch diners and eat here.

Wheelhouse is a great place for breakfast. There are not too many places around here that are not fast food and you can get a decent breakfast. Food is always good and hot. Staff is friendly. Since it is not downtown, it gets missed by a lot of people but it's definitely worth going. Highly recommended.

Very good diner food. I absolutely loved the pancakes!!!!! I got chocolate chip. The hash browns were also delicious. It's a tiny and busy place, with quick and friendly service. Very reasonably priced. We'll be back!

Since they changed hands it is much better. Food was awesome and plentiful. Very good service by a waitress who obviously enjoyed her job. I recommend this place

Came here once and that was all I needed. I forget what holiday it was, but I was asked by the old man up front (maybe the owner) if I had reservations. I didn’t and he was nasty about it. I was about to leave, but a waitress said it was ok and sat my baby and I in their pathetically empty establishment. Another family came in after me without reservations and was welcomed just as badly.
Their food was basic, nothing to write home about. Before I was finished or could ask for anything else, a different waitress just put the check in front of my face.
I told my neighbor about my experience and they told me they used to love this place and their food. They apparently got new owners at some point and everything changed. My neighbors laughed and said they make it a point to never come here now. Lesson learned- neither will I…the disrespect wasn’t worth basic food

Local old-time diner modernized. First diner I know that has WiFi. Quick and good service. Had hot tea, one overeasy with rye... served with a smile and a good load of soft and creamy real butter.

The only thing better than the local feel of this diner is the food. With the huge portions and cheap price, any meal will be sure to fill you up. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It all has that local diner taste that everyone loves. With any dish you get make sure you get a buttermilk pancake or two to go with it. Highly recommended.
