I never leave reviews but this was so bad I felt obligated to tell the world about it. Their payment system wasn't working so I downloaded their app to pay, but it is terrible and I couldn't order. I then waited 10 mins for their payment system to start up again, and when it did, I got an $11 acai bowl without granola cause they ran out. They then served the "bowl" in a tiny cup cause they ran out. This meant that there wasn't any room for toppings, so I ended up with the saddest 3 pieces of pineapple and 4 pieces of thin bananas on top of my cup. Colors looked decent at least, but when I tasted it I almost threw it away if it wasn't for the fact that I was starving and my flight was boarding so I didn't have time to get anything else. It was a purple blend of ice and avocado. Gross. Crazy.

I went to the PIT airport location on 05/20/23 around 7 AM and was stunned and appalled by the behavior of the employees. An employee (White, female, black hair, European /slavic accent) took my order of a green smoothie and banana bread. I have ordered the same things in past but the price sounded higher than usual. I inquired whether the airport employee discount (I am a crew member) was applied. Nevertheless, I paid the $16.80 and stepped to the side to wait for my order. She then proceeds to say that I did not pay. I opened my mobile bank account transactions and it showed the charge of $16.80 from "JOE & THE JUICE". I showed her and she insisted that I did not pay and my total was instead $13+. In that moment I realized that she did not charge the person before but instead charged me for their product. I explained this and instead of a simple apology she proceeds to shout that I did not pay for anything and she would not honor my purchase. I felt so embarrassed as she refused to acknowledge her mistake but accuse me of trying to get free food. I was in uniform standing beside a colleague and passengers (Who were just as appalled) , I would not jeopardize my career for something this miniscule. Plus, this is not in my character to do, ever! Another employee (black, plump build, African accent) was there and he acknowledged her error but stood in silence until I said I would report the incident. To deescalate, the male advised her to make the order but the female refused and proceeded to taunt me by saying I did not pay for anything. I could not believe that this was taking place. After some time I was reluctantly handled the food. I was looking forward to my order but could not eat after such an ordeal. I was incorrectly charged, shamed and berated for an employee's mistake.

They are out of avocado, again. Ok- clearly you never have it- so maybe don’t require it in your recipes because they taste like garbage without it. Overpriced anyways and I’m sure that you are being cheap and just not ordering it. Zero stars!!! Put in JAMBA JUICE.

I travel twice a week through Pittsburgh. This place refuses to take money. Not sure how legal that is. Staff are friendlier at the Strip Market Cafe and you'll be supporting a local company not a hedge fund investor like Joe and The Juice

Whoever was the supervisor that morning decided to take his time coming to work. Opened the doors 15 minutes late and then was rude enough to tell customers that he is not making sandwiches for another 20 minutes.
I guess someone did not want to work today and serve customer on a busy holiday travel day.
Shame on you

This is exactly what I want/need before every flight! I’m so excited that Pgh airport has a juice bar AND açaí bowls! The staff is friendly and efficient. Nothing but good vibes here 👍🏼👍🏼

(Pictured is the açaí bowl. The granola is fantastic!)

Coffee shop owner here so understand the struggles of hiring and training good staff. It’s just sad that I can’t be treated as a paying customer when ordering my morning coffee. Love this place and will come back but the lady working this morning needs a crash training course on friendliness to paying customers! She sent the couple ahead of me next door because they wanted orange juice instead of trying to offer something else. They even came back and asked for tea and of course were turned down rudely and continued to leave and go next door. Just sad :(

Love joe&the juice anyways, but the dudes working her at 6am are crushing it. Super friendly. Super easy going. And made my coffee and ginger shot perfect!! Even threw an ice cube in my shot for me.
