Decent bar often with live music. Two rooms make it nice as can move to other room if want to talk without yelling over the music. Bartender service is a bit slow. People watching there is great.

My husband and I went here for a date night. The atmosphere was perfect. I loved the decor. The music was great! Service was well paced and friendly. Lastly, food was absolutely delicious! The bouncer and a few regulars were extremely friendly as well. We will be returning!

Let’s see how many TIMES we can say TIME. (Never have I ever). I have never been to TIME when it wasn’t PACKED.

Small square footage in a heavily populated downtown Philly area? Perhaps…

Just the right mix of everything to appeal to the masses? Also…maybe…

Live music?
Yup yup I think this is a MAJOR pull.

This dual roomed rich wood trimmed bar/restaurant transports me to a different realm every #TIME I visit and the destination is usually based on the style of music being performed. The other night it was a bluesy/funky band with some serious versatility that transported me back to a small dark juke joint in Louisiana that had limited levels of inclusion and diversity. It was all in my head of course but the photo I took will make this a convincing possibility. I did not dine this TIME but I have before and it was very good. I personally don’t like to eat exceptional food in places that are packed and there is the possibility of a tipsy twerkfest poppin off next to my tuna tar tar. I do love to TIME travel but I ain’t got TIME for that. I plan to revisit when I can fully immerse myself in the culinary offerings and libations and grant them a proper Real Review. For now…just know that it’s probably going to be a very good night and a not so good morning if you explore TIME after midnight. Vaseline Clothes Pins and Tylenol may be found on you night stand come morning.

Thanks for taking the TIME to read this and I hope it helps someone chose where to spend theirs. Follow along as I continue my journey everywhere to review absolutely everything.

This is hands-down my favorite jazz bar to go to in the city. The drinks are beyond reasonably priced. Usually these other bars are overcharging $15 for a glass of wine where it is half the price at Time. They also play trap music and hip-hop in one of the bar sessions, and the live music is unreal. Legitimately they have two Grammy award winning musical artists that are a weekly fixture at this bar, it’s pretty incredible. There is a third night club section upstairs if you’re in the mood to listen to some bumping music and dance around. Leslie, the food is really really good. I’m at the sous chef and they clearly put a lot of effort into making bacon. If you like fish get the black bass. 🤘🏼🤘🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Live music upon entry on sat nights and a club scene upstairs. Nice sized dance floor with a bar. Darnell makes great drinks. Gets very crowded on the weekends.

The Time is an intimate jazz bar. Talented musicians, attentive staff, and delightful cocktails create an enchanting ambiance. A hidden gem for jazz lovers, this spellbinding venue leaves me mesmerized.

Despite having a confirmed reservation for 8 pm, we waited at the bar for our table for over an hour. We were informed that our table was occupied by other guests who were taking their time. The poor time management by the staff left us feeling disappointed and frustrated and so we left. We hope for better service in the future.

This whiskey bar has live jazz bands come in and jam with local musicians for some great music and atmosphere. The whiskey selection is pretty good. The food is actually incredible. The Italian Pulled Pork came on bread that tasted freshly baked and the Calabrian chili aioli for the calamari confirms that marinara is a bottom tier calamari dip.

Wanted to celebrate my friend’s birthday and we decided to go to Time for the first time. Food was really good but was overshadowed by the musicians and their lack of spacial awareness. While yes it was a restaurant week, we had reservations and they had trouble finding us a table for a couple of minutes. They ended up sticking us at the end right next to the musicians which was cool at first but quickly became uncomfortable. A 6+ piece band set up their gear on our chairs so we weren’t able to get out and did not seem to care that we were sitting there. They also set the up the pa five inches away from me and we left as quickly as possible before the band started. I wanted to check this place out as a musician myself but unfortunately will not be going back.

Excellent and extensive selection of scotch.

Update 3/7/23 - I ordered an app and waited for 20 min while others around me were served. It turns out that the order was never even put in. The bartender did not even apologize - and that gave me a bad vibe. I decided to cancel the order and pay for my old fashioned (which was delicious btw) and leave.
