Cozy small cafe with great coffee and AMAZING, welcoming, kind, sweet staff and owner! It doesn't matter if you've started a bad day or already a good one, seeing their bright, happy faces will make it better!
We have been told again and again that Ox is the best coffee in Philly so we have it a try. My resident coffee connoisseur gives it two thumbs up, reporting that “there is no bitterness.” The shop is small and service is “walk up to the window” style, which is fine. There is also an “order ahead” option. Ox also offers a small selection of baked goods, various coffee/espresso drinks, and hot chocolate (also rumored to be “the best”- I’ll let you know...). The service was friendly and efficient but fair warning: the coffee isn’t inexpensive.
If your interest is the best quality coffee possible, this is the place. Small selection of house roasted beans, all top flight. Their single origin Ethiopian that's often available is one of the finest coffees I have ever tasted. The pastries from Au Fournil, which are at the same level of quality as the coffee. Great shop.
This is a cute coffee shop with a great vibe. Unfortunately, this coffee shop is not wheelchair accessible. There are two large steps to get into the shop. I would have loved to spend more time there but since it is not accessible that was not an option. I enjoyed a cup of coffee and my partner enjoyed a chai tea latte.
Truly excellent coffee, friendly, capable baristas, a nice punch card rewards program, dog-friendly space (they even leave a water bowl and treats outside), and guaranteed reliability/consistency every time. I like this coffee shop a lot and I’m glad I live nearby.
The place is small and quaint. Plays records. Coffee is VERY GOOD. I sometimes have this store on my route for work. So I know for a fact that they are stocked up. Haha. Bathroom was clean and they had some noise maker to make it sound like the ocean. Very nice environment to not just do a one or a two but to do a number THREE in. Had to drop the kids and all there friends off at the water Park 🤣 but overall, I would definitely recommend this place if your an avid coffee drinker or are in the area.
such a gem with immaculate vibes. I got an iced chai with oat milk from Ox and it was delicious. they play records here and have a punch card program! if you like books check out head house books down the street after grabbing a drink from ox for the perfect morning or afternoon.
I go to Ox multiple times a week, sometimes daily. It is always one of the best moments of my weekday mornings. I love that they are dog friendly. They know my dog by name & often greet her with pets & a treat- meaning that she also loves going on coffee runs with me. Coffee menu is simple and well made w beautiful latte art. Love that they take Covid precautions & are queer friendly.

Small local corner coffee shop with a basic coffee menu. Good coffee and espresso drinks, more of a stop in and roll on space.

The single best cup of coffee I've had in Philadelphia, and the shop's politics are impeccable--I've seen them supporting picketing unions!
