419 Market Cafe & Eatery

Absolutely a hidden gem in Pennsylvania. I highly recommend this be a stop for anyone just driving through or live in the county area. Incredible food, service an atmosphere.

Homemade soups, house roasted meats and freshly made desserts. Amanda is a remarkable host and has put tons of creativity into restoring this historic homestead. Service and food were both top notch.

It's a beautiful place to bring your family, friends. The owner loves crafts and has many displayed and for sale. Very friendly atmosphere.

It was cold inside, had to wear a jacket. The menu was convoluted, difficult to read, and looked like a child created it. The waiter we had was poor, knew nothing about the food or menu and never bothered to even ask us if our order was ok (we had to chase him just get the check).

The food itself was fair. Not bad, but not great.

We had this place suggested by a friend but overall where disappointed and will not likely be returning.

Cozy atmosphere, great breakfast menu (and dinner), mto coffees, bubble tea, homemade baked goods.

The place itself is lovely. Filled with lots of antiques and fun decor. A lot bigger than I expected. Service was great as well. Nice location and really just a quaint place.

I had a breakfast sandwich that was good enough I suppose. Had chocolate milk that was oddly not too good. Menu was a bit limited, but fine. Was not a fan of the plastic cups and plates they use there. Super wasteful and kind of took away from the experience in a strange way.

The soup was amazing, but the service was lacking. We had the mushroom soup which was good enough to make up for the rest of the visit. Our party of four ordered two salads and two soup sandwich combos. The sandwiched were ok, but my 12yo foodie generally makes better tasting and more interesting creations at home. Main point is that the sandwiches arrived about 10 minutes apart, and one of the salads never came. (We tried to cancel the salad after quite a time but they ended up giving it to us in a box to go while we were paying) They did substantially discount the salad. I did like the decor which was kept surprisingly free of dust, so much so that we began trying to find any trace on any of the nearby objects. We did find some, but nothing to speak of. They must hire a professional duster. In summary, I would return for the soup, but only if I had plenty of time.

Fabulous food. Atmosphere is comfortable, it's not just a cafe, it's an experience. Owners and staff are friendly, feel like friends instead of servers... definitely a step above for the skook!

Delicious food. Everything is carefully crafted for amazing flavor. I've eaten here numerous times and I've never been disappointed. Dine in or take out...food is superb. I highly recommend the 419!

It was unexpected and most delightful. A full menu with wonderful and interesting choices. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was excellent. They actually give you time to sit down, look at the menu and enjoy your meal. It's a small place with more room on the inside than you might expect. Everything about the experience was positive. The only drawback was that it's not closer to my home. But it's only an hour away and I would drive that and more for a place like the 419 Market Cafe & Eatery. We will definitely be back!
