Chestnut Hill Cafe

This place is close to my house, so I do frequent it, but I do wish it was a bit…better. It’s a very basic coffee shop and cafe. Their menu selection is tiny and leaves much to be desired, even for a place that is supposed to have a smell menu and be more basic than not. The saving graces of the place are their overly friendly staff and their comfy atmosphere.

Edit: Wifi has improved and staff remains lovely and sweet! Coffee has been better, too.

Staff is incredibly friendly and quick. However, I’ve noticed that the drip coffee has been burnt on several occasions and their WiFi connection is poor. I ordered a sandwich there too and it was just.. ok. It’s a cozy little spot, just wish the coffee and food was better. Again, staff members are kind and very sweet!

Sandwiches aren’t bad. Workers are usually very nice.

I like this place. Their coffee is fine and they have vegan options. But the staff is probably the least kind(friendly) in all Lancaster county coffee shops. They aren't rude per say but they definitely are super nice. So if that doesn't matter to you then you'll really love it

They have the best breakfast bagel sandwich and my favorite is the breakfast burrito i add Sausage but you can have whatever you like. I do enjoy there coffee to. The staff is so friendly.

Nice restaurant, great food and delicious, awesome management and staffs are very generous and kind, organized well, they sell drinks, great products and brand excellent. Teamwork are wonderful nice

Ok - I had posted a one star review of this place 3 years ago, my friend told me to give it another shot. I did, it was lovely. I don't know if there is new management or something, but it feels more welcoming, relaxed in a good way, and overall excellent coffee and food. Glad I went back

What a sanctuary in the middle of the city! Met an old friend and we had the best time inside, while others enjoyed tables outside -- fresh, delicious creations for brunch in relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely be back here -- soon ❣

This place has navigated a change in ownership gracefully. It’s obvious the new owners are committed to keeping what makes this place special to the neighborhood. Many of the issues that hampered a positive customer experience in years past (cleanliness & indifferent employees) have been resolved.

I’m excited to see how some of the other renovations turn out. I’d say I’ve been a regular for 2+ years now and would recommend the breakfast burrito.

For what it is, it's great. For what it isn't, it's lacking. If you're going for a morning coffee or to sit and catch up with a friend or work off the night before, it's a solid choice. The food is good quality, but the price is a little high. If you're in the area, it's worth being a customer, but teeters on the edge of a place to consider being a regular if it's just for food and the coffee. It's a cozy environment and has potential if you're looking to read or get some work done while having a cup of coffee.
