Common Grounds Caffe

I stopped into Common Grounds this morning to treat myself. When I walked in, I was the only customer in the shop. I wandered and looked at the specialty drinks, then went to the counter to order. First, I had to wait to order until the barista made coffee for an employee in the back. While I was waiting the two men were loudly talking and using such profanity with a customer there that I was shocked. In addition, I was privy to them mocking another customer who had complained. In my opinion, these behaviors were not professional and were offensive. The coffee was expensive, $5.35 for a mediocre mocha (maybe 8 oz). I was excited to try a local coffee shop, but I'm afraid that after today's experience, I will not be returning.

After an explanation from the owner, I am changing my review as they genuinely seem like a good spot, just a bad one off encounter.

Spoke to us like we should have known what we were ordering even though we have never been there. A LARGE coffee is a tiny 16 oz for 6 dollars....might as well go to Starbucks. They have milk options but no creamer and the flavors taste so sweet that mixed with the coffee its just a iced syrup at that point. All in all, their iced coffee is disgusting and environment and vibe is super weird.

It took 30 mins to get a single lattee and it was not busy. It was really good, but I would not wait that long again and it was over $6 for a small. They did apologize, but they cooked food instead of making a quick lattee. That wait was insane.

In response to the owner of the newest comment: When we got our lattes, they were poorly mixed and we were sure the mocha or the cups themselves tasted like dish soap. We were not sure why but they left an unsettling taste. And maybe the barista was having a bad day but if you have new customers who come in and don’t necessarily feel welcome, it sure gives you an off put feeling.

Amazing food and coffee. They also had a great music duo playing on the weekend while enjoying your breakfast!

Have visited three times, tried a variety of espresso & smoothie drinks - as well as their Moroccan Chicken Sandwich - all very good. The coffee shop is nicely appointed, well laid out and clean, with a large clean bathroom. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the owner is frequently on site and chats with customers. The prices seem a bit high but the drinks and food are fresh and made to order, so that’s probably fair. [ BTW, I love the exterior wall art, which I understand was done by a former young lady barista ! ]

Hey Jimmy Griffin here !! I go to Common Grounds on a daily basis no matter if I get a cold brew or Hot Coffee it's always top Notch .. I've had everything on the menu and it's always been dynamite although I'm partial to the Avocado Toast with Egg yummy!!!
Staff is so friendly and helpful my girl Maddie and Cali are the best!! Owner Jim a Great guy and always super helpful !!

Great food!! Best ingredients, best quality foods. Service is great they make you feel appreciated for your business and seem happy to serve you. If you are on the Keto diet try the bullet proof coffee. Only coffee shop anywhere that serves this.
