This restaurant used to be good. We ordered two take out chicken salads a month ago and the chicken was dry. Today we dined in since we were vaccinated with one shot and there was no limitations on how many could dine in and there were no tables marked off for social distancing. Then, I asked the waitress if the wings were big and she said “Yes.” No they weren’t. They were small and there were weird shaped pieces and I didn’t know what they were and I was afraid to eat them. My husband had open faced roast beef that had fat and little gravy. At first, we were told that he couldn’t substitute mashed potatoes for French fries. Really, since when? The cook finally said yes but we found that to be unusual. We won’t be back.

Great food, great portions and reasonably priced. Also a nice hometown/small town feel. Define coming back again and again!

The food is somehow inexpensive, very tasty, and very filling all at the same time. I could not finish my meal, a make it yourself omelette with home fries. My meat was so filling that I am taking over half of it home for later. Amazingly, my hefty meal was only $10. I will return, it is a must with food this glorious.

Extremely nice patriotic atmosphere. Our ticket sat on order for 35 minutes took another 20 minutes for food. Food was either dry or to wet and bland real bland

Super friendly staff and welcoming environment. The portions are very generous, but the dishes can be a little hit or miss. We loved the sweet potato pancakes and the corned beef hash.

Confused on how she keeps the door open. Went for lunch at 1230 was told it was breakfast only, asked why, was told she didn't want to make lunch that day. Please go ANYWHERE ELSE.

Great place to eat local! You will not leave hungry, portions are huge and food is delicious! Laurel (owner) makes the best soups I have ever had. Especially her home made chicken noodle.

So I drove a friend of mine up to Honesdale today for a procedure and decided to get breakfast. Stopped at Laurel's Hometown Cafe and had this breakfast fit for a king. 8 yes 8 pieces of bacon on a separate plate, home fries to feed 2 and was asked if I wanted peppers and onions in them and yes 2 eggs, OJ and coffee for only $14. Awesome breakfast and recommend stopping there if your up that way. Great bang for your buck in biden’s world
