Merlin's Coffee

Merlin's is one of the best places to get coffee. The worker's and owner (Donna is the owner and you can talk to her about anything, Amber is a worker and is very kind, and Betzy works only on Sundays but is such a sweetheart) are all great people in general. The coffee is delicious know matter what you get and the mochas have such fun and quirky names (my personal favorite is the Bloody Englishman) and their food is underrated (the way they cook hot dogs is so unique and delicious!) This is one of the best coffee shops in town, and you do not want to miss out on this hidden gem!

Quaint little coffee shop that serves up fresh hot coffee of various flavors. Baked goods are available and they look very tasty. Also, if you're a cat lover, this is your place.

What a wonderful, hidden gem in Hanover! The staff was friendly and the coffee is delicious. Even during these restrictions they made my experience a comfortable one. I will definitely return.

I am not a typical coffee drinker, so when I want a great cup of coffee, I treat myself to the magic of Merlin's . With special house blends you can select to be fresh ground right in front of you, their coffee is why they say coffee is the drink of hopes and dreams. Adorable, ecclectic decor, it is designed to help you feel like you're taking tea at Grandma's. Definitely will come back again and again!

Merlin's Cafe is an intriguing instance, tucked away in the little town of Hanover. Its decor consists of cat memorabilia, cat photos, and... well, a cat. It's a small building, the sort of café that tends to attract a crowd of eccentric regulars. And as that goes, it is quite successful in doing so.

The owner, Eric, is a gruff but well-intentioned fellow, maybe not serving coffee with a smile, but a smirk at the very least. One look at the back-left wall will tell the astute observer of his political views quite clearly.

As for the menu, it offers drinks of varieties both piping hot and pleasantly chilled, as well as various donuts, for an inexpensive fee.

Overall, the coffee shop offers a typical coffee-shop experience, and the price is alright, considering.

If you're concerned about COVID-19, stay away. Coffee was 4-star, but served by a bare-faced, glove-less barista who asked me if I wanted her to wear a mask. It's a state requirement, and being asked, as if it were my decision for a food service worker to follow state guidelines during a pandemic, made me very uncomfortable. I paid with cash, and watched her make the next drink without washing her hands. I used the bathroom to wash my hands after handling cash, and it was filthy. I'm new to Hanover, and had seen good ratings for this place, but I'll keep looking for another independent coffee shop who is more concerned about cleanliness and the health of their customers.

I liked this place at first until my last visit when they took my order, then took another order after mine, but made his 4shot latte order first! Then my order took a really long time as a result. We will be looking for a new coffee shop.

Came in around 4:20 pm on a Saturday. Cute building. Nice little environment. Yet the lady made us feel bad about our order. Stated, they were about to close at five pm and now she has to clean the blinders. We apologized, I felt like we were a burden. Sad, our kids sat down to play checkers. We're told to please move to another area, due to them blocking the cookies. There were only two customers in the shop besides us and they left. We got up and left, the frozen hot chocolate was not very good too much syrup. As well stated twice no whip cream.. came with whipped cream. Will not be returning.

The smell when you walk in is amazing. So many delicious flavors to choose from. The coffee is the best around.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. Love Donna hardest working woman ever.<3
