So proud to have a locally owned book shop in my town. I haven't been to Barnes and Noble since I found this place. Their selection is insane. I feel like I have so many more choices here. Of course they have the classics, and their fiction selection is huge. They've got it all though. Their genres are so neatly organized. They have a kids' space that is darling. I also love the ambiance here. You can see every little detail was so thoughtfully picked... from the unique lights, the book wallpaper, the fun themed candles. I absolutely adore this place. It's a local gem for sure. Check them and support local!

I met the love of my life here. It's a cozy and dreamy book shop and Cafe and I love it Everytime I enter. Please bring your kids because they have such a cute reading area inside a little tree. I can't express how find I am of this place being in Erie.

Nice community asset - local bookstore with a large children's selection. And as an added bonus it isn't on Peach Street. It is great to see an independent doing well. The atmosphere leans a little more toward 'boutique' than 'bookish' and the publishers prices are the price - no discounts that I saw. The young reader section was nice, but there was one odd problem that could be easily corrected... A lot of children's books are part of series, but Pressed only seemed to carry the latest one or two books for most series. Sure, they had all the Harry Potters, but no early Alvin Hos or Timmy Failures. I understand limited shelf space but my kids were unimpressed by the nuisances of retail real estate. It could be that the store did carry these without displaying them but there was no one in the children's section to ask. It seems like carrying every book in a series is a good idea and if displaying them isn't possible then a note on the shelf saying they could be retrieved from stock (I have no idea if Pressed has any sort of stock room, though). And one other thought - kids remember the series name a lot better than the name of the author... I wonder if series could be on their own and ordered by series name.

A great spot to go book shopping with my kids. I also like to go there solo in the early mornings to write. I'm glad the store opens up early during the work week.

The coffee was good and not overly sweet. The staff was friendly. The wait to get it was a bit long.

I was pleasantly surprised by this bookstore. Erie is a tough market, I think, for independent bookstores. I was apprehensive when I heard that a new one was opening. I figured it would be small, with a limited selection of books, and maybe one of those bookstores that's more of a gift shop/boutique than an actual bookstore. But Pressed is first-rate. Here are a few things I like about it. First, it's much larger than I expected, with a surprisingly large collection of books. Second, it's a clean and elegant space, with a lot of very thoughtful details, such as a table promoting local authors, and some neat reading spots for kids. The coffee shop is excellent. Probably one of the nicest places to read and drink coffee since the Brick House closed. Best of all, the selection of books is fantastic. One of my frustrations with large brick-and-mortar bookstores is that they don't actually sell that many books. Barnes & Noble is okay, I suppose, if you need Funko dolls, or the YA novel-of-the-month. but It's hard to find actual good books. But each time I've gone to Pressed I've walked away impressed by how thoughtfully curated its selection of books is.

Stopped by the coffee shop and bookstore today and it is really great. The coffee was delicious and the bookstore is really awesome. Love the layout of the kids space it's so amazing! Bookstore has a wife variety of books and Knick knacks. Really loved the environment!

My favorite spot in all of Erie! Not only is it stocked with the best selection of books around, but amazing gifts and other fun things too! I've given out gifts from Pressed twice, both of which were praised as unique and perfect! But if you think the awesome-ness of Pressed stops there, hold those horses! Their cafe has the most absolutely delicious muffins and coffee drinks (lovingly pictured here). I <3 Pressed and you and your friends will too!

You can find a very good selection of books here, including books for kids. The cafe has delicious coffee, I recently had a caramel latte with oat milk that I highly recommend trying.

This is such a cute bookshop/coffee shop. Their drinks are great (including their coffee, which I typically don't like) and they have a fairly large book selection for a small shop. I just wish they were open later at night.
