A fun urban style coffe place.
The coffee is good and they have a decent variety. The three young ladies behind the counter are kind, knowledgeable and helpful.
A fun place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the rain!

Here's an idea: when a trans person tells you that there is a more inclusive way to help them out while shopping with you, don't tell them what they have to do to make it easier for yourself. It's not on them, it's on you. Otherwise you don't really welcome all, do you? Only the people who make equality easy for you. Starbucks asks for your name regardless of what is on your card. If your cashier can't add in one sentence, "And what's the name for your order?", then your customer service is not a priority and you should take your sign down. Not going here again.

Coffee is great! Would be nice if they had more breakfast options on the menu.

Loved it! Simple but well executed coffee and food options. Very friendly counter staff and quiet, classic cafe environment. They sell quality beans for at home and can tel you all about methods of prep or brewing that will bring out the best of them. We were in town for just a few days but I stopped here multiple times and enjoyed each order immensely.

The cutest coffee shop ever! Very friendly staff and the iced latte was amazing!

Good Coffee, usually.

Thanks for opening up the seating - love the high top standing desk/table!

Staff seems overworked sometimes.

Prices on the menu don't make sense. $2 for 12oz but $3 for 16oz? No refills!??

(Seating/space/aesthetics are a shared public good that are the responsibility of business to provide - based on the duty of cooperate participants to give back to their community. The economics of leasing a business is about more than just space and dollars. Coffee shops like Denim provide valuable public access to free drinking water and lavatory facilities. This helps equalize social inequalities by creating spaces we all can share. This is part of what makes small town independent coffee shops so great!)

Favorite coffee shop in Carlisle! The drinks are always consistent and delicious. Staff is always friendly and efficeient, even when it is busy. They also offer caffeine-free espresso!

If you are trans or use a name besides your legal name you will have to tell them what your actual name is, otherwise they will just make assumptions and use the name on your card. I have been dead named here multiple times.Weather it's intentional transphobia or just not caring it still hurts. If you welcome all, please be proactive in creating a welcoming environment.

As you can see from the response below it is the responsibility of trans people to out themselves in an effort to help denim coffee 'welcome all'. It's as simple as having your cashiers ask for a person's name.

I’ve been to Denim a handful of times now, and I am always so impressed by their coffee. I’m by no means a coffee connoisseur, but I’ve never gotten anything from here that I do not like. The iced lattes are perfect in the summer, and they do an excellent job of keeping their flavored coffees tasteful without being overly sweet. Breakfast sandwiches are all good, I love the gruyere and bacon ciabatta!

Service is super friendly, easy-going, and helpful. Bonus points if you get Emily, she’s super sweet and just a cool human. Whether you’re a townie, or staying at the hotel across the street, this place is a must!
