Pot Heads Coffee House

The atmosphere is wonderful! The staff is great! This is a place where you get to know people. The Hussle and bussle outside does not affect the energy inside. You enter a unique place with great food and amazing coffee. They have immensely creative seasonal coffees. The owners are nice and they, in addition to creating the atmosphere, have allowed we in the community involved in this atmosphere. I am beyond ecstatic they opened up here in Bensalem!

I went to Potheads on a Saturday around 10:45am. The parking lot was full and the line was at the door, which I took as a good sign.

We ordered two plain hot lattes, an avocado toast, and a breakfast sandwich. Then we stood off to the side because there was no seating available (and very minimal seating to begin with).

Our food arrived after about 10 minutes. However, we waited for our coffee for over 30 minutes, and for some of that time there was no one working the espresso machine. Eventually, we realized that people who came in after us were beginning to get their drinks so we notified one of the employees. Apparently our order was lost. We waited close to 10 minutes longer and then we received our order. We were not the only people that had to remind the staff that we were waiting for our drinks.

As a former barista and a frequent visitor of various coffee shops, there are a few pieces of advice that I would give: 1) food should very rarely come out before your coffee at a coffee house; that way customers can sip on their coffee while waiting on their food. 2) if you have a line waiting for coffee, someone should always be working the espresso machine and ensuring drinks get made.

Obviously, this is just my experience. Overall, if the drinks had come out quicker and there were more places to sit while waiting for the coffee I would have given a higher rating, but because of those things the max I could give was a 2*. The coffee and food was good and the drinks were creative so I think fixing some of the workflow issues would immediately improve my rating.

I’ve been here twice. Both times I ordered a HOT latte and both times I was handed an iced latte. I just took it the first time and tried it, was great, but just not what I ordered. The second time, same thing, I go to correct the order as I’m being handed an iced latte, cashier says “yeah of course” before I can finish speaking, a minute later hands me another iced latte? I just walked out with it because I was baffled. Good coffee but absolute mid service.

First time there and I will definitely be back. Best drink I’ve had in a very long time and my breakfast was cooked perfectly. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Relaxing spot to enjoy some really good lattes. Breakfast sandwich was delicious.

This place is great! Their specialty coffees are delicious and they have a great selection of food items as well. Highly recommend.

Cozy feeling as soon as you enter. A cute little place to get a great coffee to go or even drink there. They also sell bags of their signature coffee. 👍☕

I’m beyond happy we have a coffee shop as good as this one is Bensalem. Great coffee and service, plus the parking is 10x better now that the lot was redone

I've been trying to check this place out for months but due to their limited hours and bad timing, I haven't been able to get there. I finally did and it was worth the wait! The coffee was delicious as was the drink my son got. The shop itself is adorable with really cool merch and a lovely sitting area. The woman (owner I believe) waited on us and was delightful. Can't wait to go back!

Coffee is always hot and the baked goods are always amazing. Owners are kind and will get to know you. Always working in new delicious drinks and treats. Great addition to Bensalem.
