Green Salmon

Amazing humans, amazing coffee, amazing tea, amazing food, amazing vibes. Awesome enough to bring me back all 3 days I spent in Yachats! I will return every time I’m back in town!

Great coffee shop and cafe with pastries, bagels and a full menu. Bonus, they have various mushroom infused teas and hot cocoa. If you are a mycophile you'll want to get one of these. I had their reishi cocoa and added 2 shots of espresso. Delightful. Like a mocha with dark or bittersweet chocolate. Not too sweet, which is how I like my my mocha. Pastries were delish. I had a peach blackberry cheese Danish. Very covid friendly. Lots of ventilation, everyone had masks, in/out doors. Highly recommend!

Disappointing experience. Ordered the sausage sandwich on an everything bagel. Tofu eggs and sausage and cheese. I thought tofu could be cooked but the tofu eggs were cold while it seems everything else was warm. To me, a displeasing taste, only took two bites. I wanted to enjoy my sandwich and coffee while watching the pacific ocean in Yachats, Oregon. Also had a lemon berry scone which did not taste good after having a couple of bites from ill tasting sandwich. Usually a wonderful place to visit when in town.

Water is good, I’m not vegan so food wasn’t really for me. If you’re vegan it seems very good. But I’m not vegan. And I don’t really like coffee. Seems like I’m not really one to judge this establishment AT ALL. haha.

I got the specials for the day. It was a chocolate chai tea. Just perfect. I forget the name of the meal, but it was a bagel with vegan cream cheese and vegan “caviar” with greens and tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious!
The service was extremely friendly and the wait time was small. I highly recommend this place.

We have always loved the Green Salmon! We have family in the Yachats / Florence area, and it is always a must stop when we come and see family a couple times a year. This would be a 5 star review, however, we are concerned about changes over the last few years that have started to disappoint us on our visits.

Covid, no doubt, changed a lot of things for all of us, the Green Salmon was not immune to the frustration and changes that came along with it. It would be nice to see in the future as things return to "normal" that the old seating could be put back. Its just not near of cozy of a place since then, feels just too structured and restrictive with the entrance issue and the seating.

The drink menu has really shrunk down. We used to love and come and try all sorts of things from their big menu, but that has really died down. Thankfully my favorite, the Kashmir Express is still on the menu.

The cream cheese danish is to DIE FOR, and has been taken off the menu :( However! They did have a vegan option which was a 9.5 out of 10 compared to the other one. PLEASE dont get rid of it! Or bring the OG back :)

There was one change with our last visit that did bother us though. We are all about respecting other peoples beliefs, but this last time we came, a lot of the merchandise has been changed out for a lot of things that made my wife and I uncomfortable, and it really seems forced on to us to observe while we go through the line. Like I said, to each their own, but, im afraid in the long run this may alienate clientele in the future.

All this being said, we LOVE the Green Salmon! I have been coming to the Oregon Coast for years with family, and it is still a must stop. The coffee and the oatmeal, and the now vegan option cheese danish are awesome. The customer service is always great. I just miss the days when I could meet my family first thing in the morning, walking down and getting a cup of coffee, enjoying the hokey old seating, with the huge and awesome coffee menu, and being able to enjoy meeting so many nice people from Yachats and beyond. It in a ways has kind of turned into a assembly line, and feels boxed in. We miss the old Green Salmon! Please dont change anything else!

Came here on a trip to the coast. Lots of food options, lots of drink options. Everything is a minimum of vegetarian. Most items are GF or vegan, so if you enjoy eating animals, stay away. Overall the food was quite delicious and coffee was wonderful.

Excellent coffee and open early. We stopped by on our way down the Oregon Coast. My boyfriend was quite sad there were no meat options (ended up going to McDonalds haha) Lots of vegan & vegetarian options and almost everything has mushrooms in some form. The smoked salmon & lox bagel was a tasty treat for myself of which I would get again.

Fabulous coffee/tea and pastries. Their vegan selection is amazing.
