Wow, this restaurant is a new favorite! My wife and I stayed at 5 Pine resort, and opted to try it for breakfast. We arrived early, about 7:45 am, and found a very small place, maybe 14 tables total. With a quaint, small town type feel, we were greeted with a warm smile and a gracious attitude. After looking at the menu, we ordered and enjoyed refreshing items that are atypical of a breakfast spot. Extremely tasty, garnished well, cooked to perfection with a lot of scratch cooking involved. If you visit Sisters OR, stop here for an upscale yet comfortable experience.

Not sure about their other items on the menu but their biscuits and gravy are the best I've ever had. I've spent the last 20 years traveling the US, tasting biscuits and gravy, so I know what I like! Well worth the $10 and the hour out of the way drive to get 'em!

Absolutely adorable restaurant with a huge, delicious breakfast and great coffee. We were there on a busy weekend and arrived for breakfast on a Saturday about 5 minutes after they opened. Great menu - tough decision on what to order. Everything looked terrific and the portions were huge and did not disappoint. The owner is so friendly and cheerful and outgoing and helpful on providing local tips, advice and suggestions on the surrounding area and things in town. Entire staff was terrific. Homemade jam was like dessert. As we were served and began to eat, every table was filled. By the time we left, there was a wait out to the sidewalk. AWESOME breakfast place, brunch menu looked amazing and I'd love to go back and try lunch. Highly recommended!!

This is the cutest little Cafe in Sisters OR. My sister and I stopped in for lunch. She enjoyed a hamburger and I had roasted/herb brussel sprouts & sweet potatoes fries drizzled with ? I'm not sure... but it was sooo good! Worth going. The staff was very ood and kind.

We chose this place based on its great reviews. From the minute we walked in the door, we were disappointed. It took about 90 minutes to receive our food. Though two of us ordered the same thing, we received vastly different portions. The french toast was raw, the breakfast ham looked like low-budget deli meat, and the coffee was terrible. The only good part was the toast, which they bought from Sisters Bakery. Don't waste your time here.

I placed an order for a crab patty sandwich over the phone and was told it would be ready in twenty minutes. I arrived in twenty minutes and had to wait an additional 25 minutes while the only other customer tried to sell me on his MLM scheme. Once I left and started to eat I found that instead of my $16.50 crab patty sandwich I was given a $6.95 cheeseburger. A great disappointment for a very hungry pescatarian like me.
The young lady working was very nice though.

Delicious breakfast! The vegetarian omelet and biscuits and were exceptional.

Our server was great but seemed very overwhelmed and wasn't able to be attentive to most of the people around us. By the time our food arrived it was cold and lacked seasoning/flavor. Cottonwood cafe is fine if you need something to eat but there are better options it seems.

I am a very understanding food cart owner and lover of food! I've been frequenting Chow since I moved to Bend in 2011. My appreciation for their homemade food and hand crafted beverages and friendly staff has me addicted.. because of this I took my favorite family here to The Cottonwood Cafe for brunch.. SO excited! The wait was quoted at 20 minutes.. we waited 50.. which was fine. After all.. it's #sundayfunday. Then we got seated and it took almost 50 minutes for a server to take our order. We received our food in 1 hour 45 minutes.. everyone around us was "freaking out" .. I had a manager come over and I asked for a mimosa and if she knew how long our food would be. She actually left and brought back a ticket and said.. "you only put in your order 45 minutes ago" and then informed us they were now out of bacon. I have NEVER once left a bad review but I have to say.. I won't be back.

Our overall experience was quite negative. Our biggest complaint was the inaccuracy/insufficiency of the menu. Some items came with sides when none were listed, while others came without. I ordered the vegetable hash, an item I've ordered at similar restaurants before. The menu was vague about its ingredients, but I was hopeful. What I expected were hash browns, a runny egg, and vegetables such as onions, peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms. What I received was a plate consisting of 50% kale, beneath which were mushrooms, asparagus, country style potatoes, and two eggs beyond over-hard. I don't know what I would call that meal, but it was definitely not what I was expecting from the menu, nor what I would have chosen to order.
Another oddity was that there didn't seem to be any particular waiter assigned to our table. This led to 4 different staff members asking us what we wanted to drink (we were content with water) and yet nobody being designated to check if we needed refills of our water or to bring us our bill.
I think that this is a very promising cafe that could use some small tweaks (updated menu and staff organization changes) to become great.
