FINAL UPDATE: Sept. 23, 2022 - I recently heard from Sean (on 9/18), one of the owners and General manager at We're All Ears. It was a very positive interaction as he explained some of their challenges and policy changes since Covid hit and also told me he did not receive my email. (Oh, cyberspace...!), Anyway, I now feel much better about We're All Ears and look forward to our next trip to Seaside so the whole fam can indulge in the greasy, sweet, gooey, goodness of an elephant ear! Thank you, Sean!
UPDATE to review from Aug. 9, 2022.
So it's been 30+ days since my review and Sean (GM and owner) responded.
I sent an email to Sean immediately upon reading his response to my review, explaining again that I was not offered to pay for an extra topping when I ordered the Ear Wax and clarifying a couple of the points he made. I told him I'd be happy to change my review if he wanted to make good on a free elephant ear for us on our next visit.
For whatever reason I have not received a response to my email. So far now, the review goes south one star, from 2 to 1. I will update again if there is a positive response from Sean.
As a family we absolutely love We're All Ears, delicious elephant ears in Seaside, OR. We've been coming to Seaside for over 15 years and almost never have left without at least one visit to our favorite dessert indulgence. We've watched prices go up from $4.95 (maybe $3.95?) to the current $6.95, but they're worth it, right? And the recent cost of goods bump, along with inflation and increased wages has affected everyone. Still worth it, until tonight. Two of my (now adult) children and I were ready to order, already anticipating the mouth-watering decadence we have grown to love. We placed our order and I added a 20% tip, just out of gratitude that we could still get our elephant ears.
So they called out our order and it was not correct - or not as we expected. The Classic - cinnamon and sugar was, well, classic. It's actually 3 toppings because they brush it with butter so the cinnamon and sugar will stick. The 2nd one with chocolate/pb was beautiful, perfect. The 3rd one with raspberry/pb was split with one topping on each side. Weird, so I asked them to fix it. That's when we discovered the problem. The menu has one called Ear Wax - your two favorite toppings. That's what I've been ordering for 15 years. Last year I asked if I could pay extra to get 'heavy' toppings. The quick reply was, "You don't have to pay extra, just ask and we'll do it for free!"
So I explained that I wanted PB&J on the whole thing. I was told I had ordered Ear Wax which was 2 toppings split, one on each half. The menu hadn't changed, it still said 'Your two favorite toppings', so what that meant had changed? Without telling us? I was told they could add that but would have to charge me $1.50 for an extra topping... Huh? And I gave them a $4.47 tip? Then I checked my receipt, only to discover that I had already been charged an extra $1.50 for the choco/pb because of the 'extra' topping. Oh, because I didn't ask for Ear Wax, I just stated the 2 toppings I wanted. Hm, what to do? Did they change their menu and policies without changing their menu? Do we never come back for another elephant ear in protest, thus abandoning our long-lasting family tradition in Seaside? I guess I could bring my own raspberry jam from home and add it later to save $1.50... Or maybe give a smaller tip to cover the 2 extra toppings we'd have to pay for. Well, thankfully we don't have to make a decision until next year when we return to Seaside. I'm going to start saving as soon as I get home!

I really enjoyed the razzleberry scone! Nice and hot and just right combination of soft and fluffy and crispy. Strange seating arrangement but over all, a cute place!
Giving 3 stars for the customer service, as this place lacked interaction and friendly service.

Everytime I come to seaside this is all I want but it's never open. How are they supposed to make money when they are always closed. :/ It's a wonder why they have issues with everything...

Elephants ears are a treat! Like any other ice cream or candy store in the center. I love a good butter, cinnamon, and sugar dough. A lot more thin then thick but still an elephant ear.
The only reason I dislike this specific place is the management. Whatever his name is, is the general manager. kind of rude and stuck up in his own world. Wish he would learn to bite his tongue when he needs too. Telling customers that teens are stupid for not bringing cash and having to use the atm, is pretty rude and unnecessary. That’s what the ATM is there for. 🙄 regardless, get better management. I understand the short staff problems.
I did find out that they close during the business hours because if they are really slow that day, it waste money for them to just sit open. Just wish they would make a sign about that or even have a strict early closing time. You can never be sure of there hours too get one. 😔

Kind of disappointing. Each elephant ear was $5.95. We got the classic and chocolotta. The classic was beyond drenched in cinnamon that it made it unbearable to eat. The chocolotta had so much grease from the fryer on it. I would suggest going to another place.

delicious elephant ears. quick and friendly service.

Not worth it. Expensive, undercooked and soggy. Not at all what we were expecting. If you’ve had good elephant ears from a fair or elsewhere, you’ll be sorely disappointed coming here.

I have been at the beach most of the last 2 weeks and they have been closed every day. Not sure if they've gone out of business or what but it's upsetting to see they're not here seemingly.

The elephant ears were good, we had the original cinnamon sugar. server must have been having a bad day tho, because service sucked.

Elephant ear was cooked perfectly. Slightly disappointed in the quality of the fruit topping, strawberry tasted a bit like cheap jam. However the overall experience was good. The portion size is spot on. Service was quick and polite. We will return again.
