Salmon River Smokehouse

Smoked salmon panini and smoked salmon chowder. Good, but not great. Good place to stop for lunch. I think I like a good clam chowder better. #smokedsalmon

This was an awesome experience. The salmon is DELICIOUS! I jokingly say I am a pescatarian on vacation, in other words I only eat fish when I visit coastal cities a few times a year, other than that I eat a vegetarian diet. This salmon is why, it's so freaking good. The smoke on it is outrageous. The woman who was helping at the shop was such a sweetheart too. I will be stopping here again!!!

Went to the coast with my mom and our dog for the day, and stopped here for dinner before heading home. The owner was so sweet and said hi to our puppy and let him sample all their treats. We got the Mac & cheese, chowder, and panini and it was so GOOD!! We got a every cookie, a loaf of bread, and scone mix. This place is so delicious and the owner is just so nice. Definitely stopping in next visit!!

Words cannot express how utterly delicious the products are at the Salmon River Smokehouse! From the delectable, super addictive Salmon spread, to the superior quality of the smoked Salmon! The owner is truly gifted in how she delivers the highest level of customer service, creates delicious seasonings and smokes to perfection. Not over smoked, as to let the star ingredients shine through! Thanks again to the wonderful staff and all the work and love that you put in! Overpriced for what it is, but maybe that's just a location thing. Cinnamon bread and cookies are worth going for if nothing else. Even though totally thought cookies were way over priced went back and bought a dozen Lemon ones to take home has e were leaving.
It's basically a small market akin to hickory farms based around salmon instead of summer sausage with semi local products, within 200 miles or so but not local to seaside. With a small eat it now breakfast / lunch selection.
Smoked salmon is great. Baked goods are spectacular. The cinnamon bread is spiraled like a cinnamon roll and then gooey when toasted, not your usual cinnamon chips. The lemon cookies are the best. The peanut butter, chocolate chip and snicker doodle are average, haven't eaten the molasses one yet but don't often find those.
Scones were good, but being someone who buys scones, makes scones on a regular basis something was not quite right with the texture and the flavor of the actual dough, just can't quite put my finger on it.

Everything in the store is extremely overpriced, but I chalked that up to its touristy location. However, the salmon mac and cheese was dry (as in very little cheese). Pretty bad when you have to add ingredients to make something palatable at these prices. Also, the salmon paninis were saltier than this review. Worst of all, we found several fish bones in both. I get that it's fish, but for liability sake you'd think they would be more careful. On the plus side, the employee working the counter was nice. Overall, I cannot recommend and won't be back.

Do yourself a favor and stop in to this shop. They have the most amazing foods that are truly delightful in flavor and in sourcing. The staff are always charming and friendly, and they're generous with samples too. The smoked salmon is top notch, as are the decadent chocolate truffles. This is a business full of heart and I'm so happy to have found a place to indulge my locavore values; I feel great knowing my cash is going to locals who help make this community strong.

Good stop for coffee and pastries in market area. Some live music and open spaces makes a nice experience.

This place had wonderful fast staff and a great atmosphere. Seating was available outside and we were able to enjoy our bagels in the sunshine with the smell of the ocean in the air. There is a great variety of local foods and sundry items. I plan to go back!
