Tried their coffee several times and it is very strong and I did not like it. Atmosphere at times is busy and noisy. If your trying to study it t can be difficult. Great meeting space upstairs and quiet with door shut. Coffee hi so staff ok friendly. Not very enthusiastic.

A bit more than I expected to spend, but it's worth it. The baristas know their stuff, the coffee was so pretty and very tasty. The atmosphere is so relaxed. A place to spend a lazy day with a good book.
I think it might be connected to a church, but if it is, it's hard to tell.

One of my favorite places to meet up with friends in Salem! Not only is the coffee (and the chai latte) good, but this place is SPACIOUS. I've been in on days when it was busy but the seating is so well done and spread out that it never feels like too much. There are plenty of nice little nooks to get cozy for an hour or two in and even a good amount of outdoor space, including a small amphitheater.

I have family in Salem and coming here on occasion was something that I looked forward too. Excellent coffee, good pastries, friendly staff. However I don't think I will ever return. We're at the height of covid infections, and this place is operating at max capacity with no reduced seating. About 50 folks inside sitting maskless and chatting over coffee. Even folks taking off their masks and sipping coffee next to the bar. It's poor moral character, and the folks running this place deserve to be called to account for their decisions.

A friendly place with a great atmosphere to drink coffee and gossip. Great staff and good coffee.

Usually enjoy this place twice a week. Their coffee often times has aroma of bitter chocolate and nutmeg, though on the palette it's burnt and musky. Mocha tastes a little too synthetic. Teas are nice. Nitro is a blast. Customer service needs work: while Jake always has a smile, another gentleman with black hair combed to the right and a trimmed black beard is less friendly. Willing to pay for hot water due to a cold and having brought in "Emergency" packets for a boost, the guy said "It's fine just don't let it become a habit or anything." Found it somewhat disrespectful and I even encouraged that I would pay for it though he refused. Also, area has a homeless issue. Regardless, Coffee good when fresh, better teas, and nice atmosphere but customer service knocked it down to two.

This is a nice space and a good resource to the community. However, they are SO slow preparing coffee. Only go there if you intend to have your coffee there. If you're getting coffee to go, the wait will be very frustrating. If you need coffee quickly, there is a good Starbucks a few blocks away on Market Street.

I like it. It's big and nice. But, it's a commons, so it can get loud and they don't have a warmer/steamer for your coffee if it gets cold. The gentleman offered to put hot water in my coffee to warm it up.... It was an awful idea. But overall I did the place.

Good customer service great price
But there's a guy who runs the place now whom continues to harass the mentally handicapped and other paying customers

My partner and I traveled from San Diego, Ca to Salem, OR. We were in search of a coffee shop and Broadway Coffee Shop came up! The staff is incredibly friendly and there’s lots of space for you to charge your belongings.
