I'm a Portlander that was out towards Newport and walked by this little shop. I headed in, and the staff were so kind and relaxed, greeting me and not pressuring me to order whatsoever. The coffee I got was some of the best tasting and smoothest I have ever had, so much so that I returned the next day for more and bought their beans. This is a wonderful business that has excellent customer service as well as delicious coffee. Stop in! You won't regret it!

i came to this shop to get some coffee before going on a marine discovery tour and there was only one barista and he took forever with each cup. i almost didnt get my drink in time for the boat to depart, and my husband almost offered to jump in and help the guy brew drinks because he was literally doing one thing at a time (my husband was a barista for several years). my husband also said the beans were extremely burnt so he didnt get to enjoy his drink much at all. i dont recommend getting anything at this place unless you have time to wait for this one guy to make one drink at a time and not get anything out in a timely manner.

Went there while I was camping at South Beach State Park.... I prefer putting money directly into the community so I look for local coffee ( which isn't too hard up here) . I went in and just so happens the roaster was there and man he gave me some explanations that went over my head but I got the gist. I drink decaf (anxiety issues) and he explained that they use beans that are filtered through the Swiss water process... No chemicals and almost zero caffeine... I will tell you, it isn't as dark as I'd prefer so I ordered 3 extra shots (it's decaf-why not?) And man it was so smooth... Almost creamy... Really nice stuff. I give them a 4 cause it isn't a dark a I prefer.

Loved the place. But when i first went in I had my doubts- seemed so simple and I just wandered in under the espresso sign. But then I listened to the coffee crafter (pictured in the photo I just posted) telling each customer the heated degrees and how each cup was prepared. It was entertaining while I waited for my simple nonfat latte- then I got my turn and tasted what the friendly and experienced coffee creator delivered. All worth the short wait. Don’t let the simple exterior/interior fool you. Have your coffee fix here.

Firstly, despite the winter temperatures, Surf Town had their roll-up garage door open, which is very considerate during the Covid pandemic.
The barista was very friendly and accommodated my wife's request for a piece of fruit with a banana they would usually use to make smoothies. We ordered a Mexican mocha and dirty chai, which were so satisfying to drink on a winter morning.
Lastly, we decided to buy a bag of coffee to take home. When the roast master overheard us, he said he had just finished roasting a batch and went to the back of the shop to get us a bag of the fresh stuff!
We had a very positive experience here and hope to come back the next time we're in Newport.

The coffee is AMAZING! We had the pleaseure of having Russell make our coffee. We were in a group of 12 and the place was packed, he still took the time to explain how the coffee is roasted in small batches and how they do it in house. I talked to him about my business and how we make reusable glass drinking straws and he seemed sincerely interested and so kind. Then it was the best iced white mocha ever! The barista was knowledgeable and excited to tell us everything he could about coffee. Upbeat and happy! He was wonderful! I wasn’t planning on going downtown the 2nd day but we fought the traffic and found a place to park just for this coffee!! It was just as good day two. I live an hour and a half away and have contemplated driving down for coffee lol. We bought the whole bean Italian roast there and have already used the whole bag making coffee at home in our French press. If you have a chance to grab a coffee in Newport 100% worth it! The one barista takes his time and makes each cup perfect. Takes a little extra time but it’s totally worth it!

The best coffee in Lincoln County! Best cup of coffee because they roast their own beans. Friendly staff and flavor combinations are Devine! Don't leave the coast without purchasing your favorite bean, they have wonderful teas as well.

Went inside and asked for something "super chocolatey", whatever I received literally was straight black coffee on ice... I would recommend making sure your server understands what you are looking for before placing order.

Wrong hours listed online, closed. Pretty weak move for a tourist town.

Got a to go coffee here on my brief stop in town. Service was friendly. Coffee was disappointing. Seems like more of a tourist spot that doesn’t really offer quality coffee.
