I discovered this place years ago, and now I can't drive through Hood River without stopping for lunch or dinner. Outstanding pizzas!
Crust: 5/5 -just the right amount of chewy/crispy, and wood fired with perfect flavor of char on the bottom.
Sauce: 5/5 - varies by type of pizza, but each one has awesome flavor and matches the recipe nicely.
Toppings: 4/5 - just the right amount of toppings, the choice of combinations is really good - definitely well thought out.
Preparation: 5/5 - overall sizes of pizza are perfect, and every one I've eaten is cooked perfectly.
They now have a separate to-go area for when the dining room is fuul, which is pretty much every day during peak lunch/dinner. The highlight which we must order every time is the wood fired s'more, and it's an amazing creation. It's gluten free, and you won't find anything like it elsewhere. They have other items aside from pizza, and the entire menu is made with fresh ingredients.

Great food, great service and fun staff made this place extraordinary! We got a few items from the menu and all were delicious, but I especially liked the asparagus risotto. We followed up the dinner with desert, and let me tell you, don’t skip this! The s’mores are to die for! If you are in Hood River, or just passing through, it is worth your time to stop in and get a bite.

We now understand why Solstice has been ranked as one of the best pizza joints in the PNW!!
On our way back to PDX we had to "fuel up" for the drive back. Solstice was highly rated and who says no to good pizza!? We walked in and were warmly greeted and were in awe of the cool atmosphere.
Upon looking over the menu going back and forth on the very difficult choice, we ended up trying the Brussel Sprouts along with the Solstice and Country Girl Cherry for our pies. They both came very highly recommended by our waitresses and they did not disappoint. The homemade crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Added bonus was the homemade ranch and hot honey as the perfect pair for our pizzas.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Jamie and Georgia were our waitresses and they were great.
Overall, we highly recommend Solstice Pizza to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a wonderful dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a must-visit spot in Hood River.

Gorge-centric hand tossed brick-oven pizzas and fresh salads and pasta with bespoke cocktails all set along the riverfront served by enthusiastic family friendly folk. Take the people and pups you love to enjoy the warmth of community, and passion for the epicurean as it is alive and well here.

Pizza was great. Tasty, wood fired, rightly crisp. I thought the price (including a high 18% service charge, before counting the tip), made our order (2 large pizzas) cost $72, a mere 40% more than it's original cost (of $54). That to me seems a bit much. Not going back here coz there are much more options that give you a better value for your money.

What a tasty place with great vibe and service. Loved the Solstice pizza, brown sugar Brussel sprouts and mixed drinks like the Paloma. Be sure to get a reservation on weekends and remember, outdoor dining can get chilly in the evening with the wind.

The Margherita and the Cremini are wonderful. The crust is crispy but not chewy. It’s fired to perfection. The coffee was a bit strong for my liking. The key lime pie was great too, just a little too sweet . Would 100% return for their pizzas. One of the top thin crust pizzas I’ve probably tried.

First time eating here and it sure won’t be our last.
Drove all the way from Portland for a little adventure along the gorge to wrap up the day in Hood River with some top tier pizza.
We ordered the Solstice, Country Girl Cherry, and a kids Pepperoni pizza. Also ordered a side of the cacio e pepe thing…. Pizza crust was perfect and the sauce they used for the cacio e pepe was spectacular. We took a trip to flavortown!!!
Staff was great, super attentive and helpful. Timely with checking in and making sure we were set through our entire experience.
Can’t wait to get back there!

Excellent quality food, wonderful customer service, in a cool family friendly environment! Truffle French fries with garlic aïoli was delicious as was the Mac and cheese, Brussels, and pizza! Definitely worth checking out if your near by!

We stopped in for lunch near the waterfront in Hood River. I had a cremini pizza which was delicious. They make their own dough which is chewy and authentic. The resturant is small and cozy.
