Doppio Coffee

I go to Doppio quite often as a Hood River local after a yoga session or just when I am downtown. No matter what time of day they offer an amazing variety food from creative wholesome nutritious breakfasts, to a huge variety of coffee/espresso drinks , lovely teas, fresh smoothies, scrumptious lunches, homemade soups, pastries and much more. Doppio is situated in a lovely setting nestled n the heart of downtown Hood River offering indoor cozy seating and even lovely in the summer months out door patio seating that you can watch the world go by or do your work using their free WI FI. as side from the location and far they offer I have mostly been impressed with their customer service and personable towards myself as a local regular customer and also I have witnessed the Doppio staffs interaction with out of town visitors. They are always helpful, considerate, cheerful and pleasant. The owner of Doppio is usually there working as hard along side his staff and interacting with his customers in such a positive lovely way. I do recommend Doppio and will continue to recommend friends and clients to checkout Doppio and feel they bring allot to the table when it comes to showing our visitors and locals the culture of Hood River in addition to have awesome coffee and food.

Had the hambrie panini and bowl of chicken soup. Panini was tasty but the soup had very little chicken and was heavy on the noodles. Staff seemed to be more warm toward locals than visitors. Service was average overall. Good central location and enjoyed the large open window that brings the fresh air in. Seating is fairly plentiful and adequate, with both indoor and outdoor space. You bus your dishes when finished. We had to clean up the table and chairs before sitting so be careful to look before sitting.

Nice enough space but the food has a lot of room for improvement. They advertise a nice panini or sandwich but everything tastes so dry. Very average coffee too

Great staff, delicious coffee, nice setting

The coffee here is OUTSTANDING! I dream about it! They truly train their staff well! Not only are they very personable (the always remember my name), but they also make a dreamy cup of joe! I haven't eaten hear a lot but usually go for a bagel and it is just what i'd expect! They did add some tasty looking truffles that call to me but I have yet to try them out! All in all best coffee in Hood River!!!!

The food here should not get overlooked just because this is labeled as a coffee shop. I had their bear claw with almond paste and found it very flaky and buttery; it tasted so good after they warmed it up. I guess I could complain that the almond paste was only found in a fraction of the actual pastry, but the rest of it was so buttery good that that would just be nitpicking. The thing to get here though, is one of their egg sandwich. The bacon they use for their bacon & provolone egg sandwich are thick center cuts and it's sandwiched with a fried egg between a war, freshly made ciabatta bread. It honestly is so good that you'll never stoop to eating an egg McMuffin again.

We visit this establishment every time we come to Hood River. And for some reason this time the food that we ordered wasn’t even close to what it normally is. I purchased a half a sandwich and a salad and I got two pieces of bread on my sandwich that were the size of a silver dollar. And one piece of turkey . Who serves a sandwich with a piece of bread on top that is that small? And then the lettuce was fairly wilted. My husband purchased the salad with the tunafish on top and basically it was a bunch of greens with a scoop of tuna on top of it. We were not impressed and the prices were extremely high for those two dishes. Not sure if this has new ownership but something is not quite right.

Great place in Hood River to get delicious coffee and tasty food!

Quick and tasty paninis and other sandwiches. Delicious smoothies, got the Kona Mocha with oat milk

Now owned by the same crew that brought us Ground, if you come to Hood River you can mix with the sailors, kayakers and mountain bikers at Ground, or go to Doppio where the mix is a little quieter and more refined. Better still, have your morning blast at Ground, then meet your friends in the afternoon at Doppio. Same owners, same great service, and all fun.
