Insomma is one of the best coffee places 8n the area go to any of them around or cannon Beach. Great coffee and they use Monin syrups!

Larger than I thought from viewing outside. Nice place. Good coffee and great cookies!

We tried this place out hoping for a nearby alternative to Starbucks and were really wanting to like it. The space inside is large, but it was uncomfortably warm inside, and both busy and understaffed. None of the employees were wearing masks, nor were nearly any of the customers. I wouldn't feel comfortable visiting again, which is a shame because I really did enjoy their black forest mocha.

This place is my coffee, tea, & breakfast go-to. I love it & you'll love it.
More specifically:
- They've consistently had very friendly service. They make suggestions & ask questions.
- My God, are their breakfast foods ROCKIN! (Best quiche ever & GF hand pies!)
- Every drink I've gotten so far has been a home run. Just be sure to mention how sweet you'd like your drink if that tends to be a point of concern for you.

I have a covid suggestion. As I sat and enjoyed my coffee I saw a worker come up to a man sitting by himself with his mask off and occasionally sipping his coffee, and told him to keep his mask on unless he was actively taking a sip. That’s fine- my issue is though that the entire time I sat there for over an hour there was a girl with her mask off the entire time sitting at a table with a man and they were yacking away the entire time. They never once told her to put her mask on? I’m more concerned about catching covid from someone flapping their lips talking loudly than I am a man sitting in silence by himself? Idk just a suggestion? Ehh, I just don’t understand how they pick and choose who to tell to keep their mask on.

Other than that I really like the hemp chai, since southeast grind closed up in Portland- this is the only chai I really enjoy out of the coffee houses I’ve tried since then. Sometimes they make it a bit watery though. The gluten free treats are good as well.

First time visiting, kind of hidden away in the market lot - but worth the visit! I had my typical Iced White Chocolate Mocha, it was not overbearingly sweet and had a nice creaminess to it. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable and upbeat, happy to answer questions even when the place was quite busy. The atmosphere is very cozy, lots of soft cushion chairs and old antique tables, a great place to relax or get some work done.

Too hot inside with poor ventilation. No masks on employees or customers. Coffee was good but employees were down at least one person and while clearly doing their best waiting too long made the experience not worth repeating.

Slowest and most dumb boring group of girls I ever did see. 15 min standing there watching them toast a bagel God that was painful. And not even A simple hi / hello or how are you nope, just stood there beyond 15min God that was painful to watch..... Girl could barely make toast. Yikes!

Great coffee. I would say best around the area. They beans are soo good! I always get their coffee and their beans here. Super friendly staff as well!!

Tip:
If you buy beans and make them yourself, come here. They have a fresh batch of beans every Friday. Make sure to check the latest roasting date.

I've been a fan of insomnia coffee for a few years now.... There are 3 locations on the west side and one at the coast... Great, DRINKABLE, coffee!!! I say drinkable because there are some coffee shops out there that i truly believe think that the more bitter the coffee is the trendier they are...lol...
And it's not just the coffee, it is the people that work there and the fresh made pastries.
The Murrayhill location is tucked away in a corner at the Marketplace .. Plenty of inside seating and a patio area with tables and a fountain just out the door... Go for the coffee, stay for the atmosphere... Laid back friendly!
