This place is a cute little bakery that has great breakfast. The vibe is super friendly and the food was great. We had the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast scramble. I would definitely recommend both to anyone staying in Astoria!

The food was great. Heads up, no meat. But they have this non meat sausage that tastes great in their breakfast sandwich. I had my doubts, but was pleasantly surprised. Sometimes you just have to give things a chance.

No one makes actual French croissants because it takes six hours of folding and cooling and folding and cooling, literally. The labor party of the price is prohibitive. perhaps the EU subsidizes it or something
That said, Blue Scorcher coussants are fine. The top layer disintegrates into satisfyingly small pieces at one's first bite (French croissants completely self-destruct). The apple turnover was not too sweet
Nice staff and a nice, slightly industrial atmosphere

Had a great meatless Ruben and grilled cheese that we split. Very good! Very casual and comfy. Nice self serve napkins, to go box, water, and bus your table with ease. And it's also a bakery!

This place is awesome! They have a great selection of food for everyone. The pastries, sandwiches and coffee were all killer! Super friendly and helpful staff as well.

If you want vegetarian food then this place is okay, totally average, but it could be better. Even limited to vegetarian ingredients the breakfast sandwich lacked cheese and a proper biscuit - although the tomatoes were exceptionally good. On the bagel the cream cheese was... I don't know, liquidy? It all squished out, it wasn't edible held in my hands, I used a knife and fork. 40 minute wait.

Nice selection of vegan options and alt milks. The Poet's Bowl is heavenly! Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, community vibe, with lovely views. This place is a must-visit when in Astoria. The coffee is nice, too, if you were wondering... Nothing funky (i.e. bitter, sour, etc.).

A worker-owned cooperative that buys local, organic produce and use organic ingredients in our pastries, bread, and food. What’s not to love?
We were traveling through and love the opportunity to stop at a bakery. We got the breakfast burrito, chai latte, bread, and a variety of pastries.
There was no indoor seating at this time due to Covid restrictions.
The energy of this place is amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful in making our selections.

The tempeh Reuben was so AMAZING that we went back twice during our weekend trip in Astoria. Thank you for providing such delicious meals, Blue Scorcher!

A gem in downtown Astoria. It's popular and there was around a 15-wait on a Sunday morning. There's a tent to wait under outside. My toasted everything bagel with cream cheese was the perfect combination of chewy and soft. We also got a honey bran muffin that was really tasty, and my partner loved his cinnamon roll.
