Coffee House on Cherry Street

I’ve visited a lot of Coffee Houses in my day, but there’s something especially warm and satisfying about CHOCS in the early cold morning…the smell of their just-started fire as you walk in…the knowing nod from the Jim, homeless guy, as he warmly gives you a toothless smile, the whoosh of milk being steamed for a sweet latte, like the Honey Badger, the solemn reverence of the eroding Buddha statue and the smells of quiches, and croissants, and cookies galore while Nat King Cole croons about Christmas in the background

The desserts here are amazing, but this time I also got a pre-made sandwich and there was hardly any meat on it! And the bread was soggy in places. I just kinda feel like for $10 it should be a little more. Otherwise I love coming here and the atmosphere is wonderful

I never thought I would find such amazing, delicious gluten free food so close? It is so good that even my family who does not have to eat GF loves it!

This place is NOT common! Absolutely delicious pies and I don’t understand how this place doesn’t have more reviews! Made the 2 hour drive and would do it again! :)

The turtle cookie was delicious! Friendly staff members made it a wonderful experience!

Atmosphere was great, decaf Americano and the dirty Chai latte with soy milk was FANTASTIC, and the open mic night (Wednesdays) was tons of fun. (plus my daughter loves this place).

good coffee and great baked goods but the service was terrible. there was one employee that was especially rude. The last several times I have been greeted by a barista, Amanda, who has been extremely rude and short with me and other customers. She snaps at us with any question and has absolutely zero customer service skills and treats us like were idiots. she does not seem to be familiarized with the product. Never have I met someone in the service industry that has been so rude and un welcoming. I am truly amazed that she still has a job here. Im at the point where if I walk in and she's working i"ll go turn around an take my business to shades or cirque
1 star only because their pastries are truly amazing and they deserve recognition for that, if i could i would give zero because of their awful service.

Very cozy vibes where you can study. The grilled cheese sandwich is delicious.

This is one of our staple coffee shops! We love chocs

A bit pricey, but one can usually find several gluten-free options, which is nice. Great location.
