This was my first time to try Cafe 88. I loved it!! I had the Shrimp fried rice and the dumplings. The fried rice was light lots of egg and very flavorful. They were NOT stingy with the shrimp either!! I will order again soon!

The kimchi was all about the spice and not flavor. Fried Gyoza was decent. Beef and broccoli was rubbery with an overcooked fried egg on top of the steamed rice for some reason. Chicken fried rice was the best out of all of it but it was still just decent. I can think of three other asian places in town that are WAY better. I might give them another shot because we all have our off days but for my first time I was definitely not impressed.

My husband is an OSU alum and has been in love with cafe 88 ever since he started school. We recently visited Stillwater a few days ago, 4 yrs after his graduation and I found the food so flavourful that I also fell in love with the food. Would definitely try to visit again. :)

I always enjoy the food here although it could use a little more flavor. You generally get decent sized portions although I havent really eaten everything on the menu. Combo fried rice with chicken, beef, and shrimp with egg rolls are my go to. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable so if you need anything explained they'd be happy to help you. It's a small 'mom and pop' type restaurant so seating is limited.

The reviews lied. I ordered 2 stir fried combination noodle entrees and a 12 piece fried chicken dumplings today. The entrees were small for nearly $9, but in a college town, I can understand the high prices. They were also dry and tasted like they were DAYS old. And the noodles aren't lo mein, they are SPAGHETTI noodles with minimal seasoning at best. The dumplings and the sauce were decent. They DO have good boba tea, though.

The food and service are great, prices are ever-so-slightly high for the servings but this is a great lunch or dinner spot, it's local as well so very worth supporting considering the food and service are as good as they are!

This is the closest thing I've found to Chinese food like the kind I had in China. It's absolutely delicious. Fried rice is best ever. The pork dumplings are also great. I've had many different things on the menu and all of them have been delightful. Bubble tea is also offered here and is very good.

Some of the worst Chinese food I've had in a long time. The chow mein was made with spaghetti noodles, and most of the meat in it tasted old. The General Tso's chicken tasted okay, but the chicken was dry like it had been made days before and just microwaved before sauce was dumped on it. I'm (kinda sorta not) surprised this place has such great reviews, since the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2 is because it didn't actually make me sick like I expected.

Cafe 88 is my go-to fast food place. I will admit, it became my preference partially because I live within short walking distance. However, since I’ve gone there so frequently, I have seen them on many different occasions interacting with heir customers. Their food is consistently great quality, and their service has always been very friendly and inviting. Go for the food, or go for the atmosphere. It’s worth it
