WALKIE TALKIE ESPRESSO & COFFEE

Thanks for such a great experience! The barista was patient and helped me find the perfect beverage. Also, the rye chocolate chip cookies.... Sigh. Will be visiting again soon!

Read about this place from the Hartzler Dairy coffee tour and made a stop on a road trip south from Cle. After a highly anticipated stop here’s my feedback:
1. Exterior vibe is 👍🏻. Loved the color scheme and building.
2. Menu items were ok. I ordered a rosemary cappuccino and there was no hint of Rosemary to speak of. Same goes for the habanero drink my husband got; no taste of habanero.

Stellar. Splendid. Superb. They make the best basil latte around. They make the best of a lot of things around. But more than the drinks and goodies, the place offers hospitality. You don't get that at other places, not like here. You don't get community at other places like here. You don't get peace of mind at other places like here. This shop is the golden thread within the tapestry of Canton's urban sprawl. Right now, it mans the helm of the slow marching vision to make Canton a place for the arts. You don't just drink coffee here -- you partake of culture here.

Stumbled upon Walkie Talkie on accident driving through my mom’s old neighborhood. This little place is painted so cute, walking in, it feels cozy and welcoming and smells delicious, staff super friendly and helpful since we needed directions to another place, and of course, the coffee, we each got a cup of the House blend and it was perfectly strong, not bitter and really hit the spot. I’ll know to go here next time I’m running errands through that area.

Wonderful staff and great coffee! I love the rasberry flavored menu they have. Will be back again sometime!

You know, we often rate 5 stars because it's muscle memory and we're being what we think is nice? Don't get me wrong, it's nice and can influence potential and existing customers from a wide base, but we should be objective. The people behind these walls deserve it. The amount of work and care behind this operation would floor you.

Fastest service I've ever had at a shop with a full lot. (NOTE: keep this is mind runners of the rat race. You'll still be on time!)

Most importantly... A shop that has a heart the size of the Hall of Fame, only with a mightier pulse...

My mother is not a coffee drinker. Not a problem at Walkie Talkie. The list of tea and original creations outside of the holy bean/seed is vast, but manageable. They've created a menu that reminds of a children's book. The pictures are incredibly well illustrated and play a part in the nostalgic feel of the experience and shop. Sharing this with my mother made me feel like I was in a small world - population of 2. Amazing what a scone and well crafted drink can do.

The owner actually served us curb style. He even remembered me from our email conversations prior to my visit. The cherry-on-top was he made the thoughtful effort to offer their incredible stickers. They've been applied to my brewing equipment at home. The art is cool and promotes Walkie Talkie and Heart coffee. Yeah, Heart! I won't even sugarcoat this... Buy a pound bag of the Stereo blend. I brewed it drip and pour over and perfect cups each time. I'm sure if needed you can request a grind from the dedicated shop employees. Every coffee bean offered is top notch and very, very fresh. Rost dates are stamped on each bag.

The merchandise is creative and reminds me of a comic book illustrator sketching at a diner (window seat). I highly recommend the official WALKTIE TALKIE MUG. Perfect size, base and handle. Plus, the art is awesome!

I wanna say so much more, but I talk too much to begin with. Places like this are a jet fuel in my passion-tank and drive me to a place that has euphoria brewed hot and ready to serve.

Love it! The quality of drink here goes toe-to-toe with some of the best coffee shops you’ll find anywhere else: local dairy, knowledgeable baristas, great drip coffee. You must make the detour if you’re looking for good coffee in Canton/Akron.

Not going to lie was a bit intimidated walking in because I felt super lame compared to the hip atmosphere. But they were very friendly and the coffee was outstanding. It's rare that I don't need to add sweetner to coffee but thus was so good, nothing else was needed!
