This hidden gem makes the best damned breakfast croissants you've ever had in your life. Oh and the pastries are amazing. I actually think they're even better than the coffee, which is also good. Try it anytime of the day, it's worth it.

This is the one of the only local coffee shops around (Starbucks doesn’t count and I never go there), but even so, this is a great place. The owner works hard and has created a very welcoming and comfortable environment. They offer good food and beverages, and a nice area to study, work, or enjoy conversation. Highly recommend it

I chose this place to meet a friend for the first time this weekend as I enjoy visiting local coffee shops at any town I'm visiting versus using a big chain like Starbucks or Dunkin.
I don't normally write reviews but I had to defend the reputation of this place after being present during the encounter that the previous reviewer - we'll call her Karen left. I came in with my friend and while we were waiting to order we witnessed the entire exchange in question. We could tell that the two people working behind the counter were slammed so we were patient when Karen came up in a rude voice stating she had been waiting 24 minutes and demanded to speak to the owner. The manager took a moment to stop preparing orders to let her know they had received a large number of orders before her order. He was not "horrifically rude" but you could tell he also didn't have the luxury of holding up other people so this lady could yell at him. She immediately started loud protesting that she was going to write a terrible review for the place and that she was a small business owner and that she could teach them a thing or two about customer service and was planning on speaking to the owner. She then stormed out of the place with her friend stating loudly "I don't need a refund I'm going to be giving you a terrible review".
Immediately after her leaving they finished the obviously large order they had prepared for the customer previous to Karen - it was a large stack of to go plates and sandwiches etc. and we placed our order. The manager looked at me and tried to explain and I let him know it wasn't necessary - anyone could tell how busy they were and we were empathetic. Surprisingly to me after witnessing that whole exchange the 2 lattes and sandwich were delivered to our tablet about 5 minutes after we placed our order.
The chicken sandwich I ordered was pretty good for Cafe fare and I got an iced vanilla latte which probably would have been better had I realized that they put whipped cream on top which ruins the taste of the coffee to me - but it was my first time here so no big deal. My friend got a hot latte with almond milk and thought it was good as well. The overall atmosphere of the shop was very laid back and pleasant and the seating was really comfortable. The menus they have are definitely larger, with more options available that most cafes I've visited.
If this place was closer to my home I would definitely be a regular here I feel. It is just a shame when self entitled, "self-employed" people expect special treatment and try to do real damage to an establishment that isn't deserving of it. Everyone who has a real job and does any hiring understands just how difficult the labor situation is right now and should be a little more understanding at small businesses especially if they struggle with labor shortages.
Kudos to the owner for keeping this place running through these times - I'm sure it is a favorite of its community.

Breakfast sandwich was made with microwaveable fake looking egg. Was very gross. Coffee containers in the restaurant looked dirty/moldy like they’ve never been cleaned. Staff looked depressed and unenthusiastic. Looks like a dying business with gross food.
Edit: Just want to react to the owners response... This is not a “fake” review and I’m not being vindictive. I genuinely just thought the food was bad and the restaurant interior was dirty. This seems like a pretty immature response from the owner. I wish them the best with their business and hope they can improve!

I stopped in while I was killing some time in between meeting friends. It was a wonderful place to relax with a cup of tea and a good book! The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant and calming. I hope to go back soon!

The coffee was a major let down. I might be spoiled by good coffee on the left coast, but the house blend black coffee left a lot of room for improvement. I was impressed that they had a vegetarian sandwich (egg, cheese, croissant), but it was average for a breakfast sandwich. I was also dismayed that they served it to me to go in a styrofoam container, with a set of plastic fork and knife which I didn't ask for nor need. It just seems wasteful, unfortunately. I wouldn't say that it's terrible, but I can think if a few chain restaurants that do this better in my opinion.

The barista was so helpful and I LOVE the selection here! I had a delicious blended coffee drink and an apple turnover. I will 100% be back for more :)
