McHappy's Donuts and Bake Shoppe

I was really excited to visit McHappys….. however I found the doughnuts to be expensive with very little flavor or taste. You get what you pay for but in this case I was not very happy with the Jelly filled doughnuts. You can almost get the same kind of quality or better doughnuts at Kroger, or at least better tasting.

Service was great! But I Dough Nut plan to visit again...for the Pastries anyway. Plain glazed was pretty dense for a yeast donut, kinda like a grocery store model as someone else said, glaze was a little bit like someone put too much water in their icing and used it as glaze...sugar was there alright, but wasn't great by any means...maybe just needs a bit of heat? My baklava was pretty awful too unfortunately...tasted like cardbord...but maybe (I hope) it would be good warm

One of the best donuts in Athens, OH. One time I made a mistake by ordering 24 donuts at another branch. It was my fault but the Athens branch gave me the 24 donuts without additional charge in the morning. I really appreciate it.

Donuts were very much dried out. We could not eat about 5 of them. I have never had this happen before at any McHappy's. We have always loved McHappy's. We got 1dozen donuts and 5 special donuts.

A wonderful selection of baked goodies! A full bakery experience with doughnuts, cupcakes, cakes, muffins, cream horns,cookies and so many other items.

Saddens me to leave a small Belpre business one star, but they have completely fallen off. Went through the drive-thru recently and asked for a dozen donuts--was told "we don't have 12 donuts." Most of the time when they do have donuts, they are stale. Avoid Mchappys---JR's Donut Castle across the river is so much better and consistent.

Bonnie was working. She was rude and not friendly. When we were picking donuts clearly had little patients to wait for us to decide. Then when opening the box of donuts noticed they were smashed in the box. Treated two older adults in there fine but if you’re a young adult guess you don’t deserve the same treatment.

McHappy’s donut shop is an old fashioned corner donut shop with their own recipes , there are not many employees so they run low on some donuts but the ones that they do have certainly are delicious.

My wonderful and handsome fiancee, soon to become Mother in law, who is the nicest and most beautiful woman I know, and I stopped in for a donut and coffee while heading for gas. We ended up getting more than that, the woman working was very warm and inviting. We bought extra items to take home and thanked the lady for her hospitality.
Inside the store was very clean and set up nicely for the issues of the world we are having. The items in the case were so beautiful and looked so delicious it was very hard to decide what to get. Just wonderful, best shot EVER!
