The Workshop

The food and ambiance are nice. But the cashier talks too fast and loud, has an attitude. The first time we went we got the wrong smoothie and the second time we got our food but waited 45 minutes for our coffees.

So glad I skipped Starbucks today & went to The Workshop for breakfast instead! The food was fresh & fantastic. The mint Java frap was heavenly & the house blend coffee was so fresh. They had my order ready so fast & it was all still hot by the time I drove back to my spot at the other end of the island! I love the whole surfer/beachy vibe & I love how friendly everyone was too. This place put my favorite breakfast spot at home in Raleigh to shame!

A great coffee shop. We were greeted by the owner, who is a very delightful lady. Yes the lines are long but more fast....she is the only coffee shop around. It is worth the wait. My wife fell in love with the lavender honey coffee. Food was really good. We stayed in Wrightsville Beach for four days and started every morning at the Workshop. I highly recommend this place!!!!!

Go across the bridge and pay real world prices for better quality.

When getting coffee, make sure it's a Starbucks sugar cup variety. Either burned beans, city water, or bad brew led to subpar coffee. Hoping it's an off morning, will try again later.

We had the worst customer service experience during our vacation at this shop by the woman working the register. The place was busy but not overly so -- line was about to the door, and she kept yelling at people in line for both being in the way of servers (odd shop layout for that!), and yet also for being too spaced out so line was to door; it was very confusing. Most of all, though, once we had our opportunity to get to the counter to order, she screamed at our 7 year old because he was still trying to figure out what he wanted to drink and had questions. She then yelled at me when I asked why our bill was ~$15 more than it should be and she initially refused to check it, only to realize when she did check it that she had made an error (but no apology given). Although we thought the food was incredible tasting (that rosemary garlic cream cheese is amazing!), we never returned the rest of our trip due to how we were treated.

This amazing local gem is warm and cozy filled with happy people and delicious food and healthy drinks. I highly recommend you stop in and add this to your special place list

My favorite coffee shop in ALL of Wilmington. You MUST try their breakfast sandwiches. I always get the ham, egg and cheese on the croissant, they put it on the panini press and it’s melt in your mouth delicious.. it is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had from any coffee shop. Second, I don’t know what it is but the coffee is the best I’ve ever had. I haven’t had one drink from the workshop that wasn’t amazing. I love the atmosphere of the shop and the cool shark tooth theme. They have a ton of handmade jewelry for sale that it beautiful. The owner (I met once) is so kind and really cares about customers. Items are pricey but for location and what you get it’s well worth it. Love the workshop 🤍🦈

Often grab coffee and breakfast when we go to the beach for a sunrise. Avocado toast is exceptional. Coffee is subtle and tasty. Not much seating inside but lots of open seating just outside in the courtyard. Staff is awesome...greet us with a smile every time we enter.

It is so good, you're likely to find a line out the door. If you're not in a rush, it's worth the wait.
